So before i sit down for a sesh i make a coffee. I sit down take one sip. Nek minute 5 hours goes by and i realise my coffee is still full and cold lol. Any else have a case of the 5 hour cold coffee lol?

Do you guys put your coffee on your table,next to your mixing board,controllers or on a top of the console?
I have seen quite a few pics with expensive consoles and a cup of coffee on top,lol.
I put mine on an improvised table,next to my recording desk and just last week i spilled the whole cup,luckily no damage was done.

Being typically English I prefer a nice cup of tea. It tends to sit on my desk next to my mouse and interface. No accidents yet and I always manage to drink it before it goes cold, maybe that's why I get little music done lol. Maybe I need to let it go cold?

Cold coffee is nice

 

This old studio I used to go to had the best coffee stand, I think it was a Simmons MIDI Snare.

 

Drinking in the studio is fine, just have a coffee table. Smoking on the other hand, no-no.

luckily i have youtube to waste my first fucking hour on the computer everyday lol...so I also finish my coffee after viewing ten 5 minute videos... THEN, I start liking to think I do stuff in my life...

 

I never have spilled a drink and ruined anything in my room but remain vigilant with the knowledge that it might very well happen some time in the future. Stategic placement is vital. Also, my cold coffee tends to taste better to me than when it is piping hot. Maybe I need to buy better coffee.

On a side note, it is a good idea to blow the smoke from the plant of your choice, bud or tobacco directly on the capsule of a cheap microphone to relax the uncomfortable high end that so many of them exhibit. But generally it is best not to smoke in your room so as not to gum up the works of knobs and sliders and the cones of monitors.

sorry no, I enjoy coffee so much that I always drink the cup down to the last drop while it's hot.

 

Never, really. I only prepare an expresso when I feel like having one, and it goes down the pipe faster that your eye would flick!
Letting an expresso coffee cool down is one of the greatest sins ever

 

... all this talk about coffee got me craving one.

 

At one point I was even considering inventing a special cup that keeps your coffee warm for longer time. But I settled for just warming it up again.

 

Yup almost every day once.. or twice
Accidents? Once I had a combo of Mackie mixer, a (full) glass of champagne and a hot chick's ass dancing around all of it.. bam! It's still in my garage (the mixer!) as a reminder..

Now the rule is: everything liquid under anything electronic. I sometimes kick the coffee around but at least nothing expensive gets ruined. And there are less hot chicks here,... and no champagne. Fuck, where is my life going...?!?
