Some info first:

Ive bought a second hand solo 3rd gen at an dutch hardware store. The store sells second hand stuff after checking the hardware. The lower the price of stuff they get send back if customers dont want the item if it doesnt suits them.

Problem:
After getting some weird flaws with the headphone output i saw that jack isnt going in fully.. I check the jack at other inserts, also the L and R monitor outputs, and it fully goes in, you also get a sort of click, that you know its in good.

If you look at the photo, you can see its sticks out a bit. Also maby not on the photo but i can see sticking something inside of the headphone plug. I already have seen a youtube vid, that someone had broken off the tip of his jack, and got stuck in the insert..

Do you guys think i have the same problem, and that the hardware store never had seen this?

 

Yes, that looks like the tip of the jack stuck in there. Pretty easy fix, should be 3 small screws on rear of the unit. undo those and the internals should slide out. should give you enough access to remove the broken tip.

 

needle nose plyers and pull the old broken piece out youll be good to go

how is the headphone amp? I have a behringer umc202hd and the headphones are kind of weak and was thinking of getting one of these

 

why ? you did fix the problem ! but you should have payed less , cause you needed to repair it .
you can also buy new stuff and get a monday device .
