We are happy to announce the imminent release of the first volume of our Solo Woodwinds set: Stefania Maratti - Solo Flute.

We came back to the Teatro delle Voci, and we've sampled a new amazing set of instruments.
Here we present you the wonderful sound of Stefania Maratti, a skilled flutist who devoted herself to music. She has a special and lovely approach to music which we tried to capture in our instrument.

The instrument features three kinds of legato (tongued, espressive and immediate vibrato), plus 2 legatos suited for very fast runs. Like our Trio Broz series, we've sampled three kind of attacks for each of the three dynamics (crescendo, normal and accented), Non-Vibrato and Staccato.

We've also extensively sampled a series of effects like Tongue Ram, Flutter, Muted Flutter, Air Sound, Singed notes, breaths, belches and "bad" notes.



This time we put lot of work to refine our legato script and the GUI: to be able to organize all the material we've created a truly configurable script which allows you to craft and edit your own articulations.

The Articulation Editor, now allows you to build your own legato articulations, with custom keyswitching, custom articulation names, decide what sub-articulations to assign to the different pitch wheel states (also assignable to a CC), assign conditions to certain parameters, add an optional synthesized vibrato.

The instrument will consume just the RAM required for the loaded articulations, so if you just want to have a standard legato patch, you can remove all the unnecessary articulations and the instrument will automatically purge the unneeded groups from memory.



Otherwise you can just load the instrument and play! Since we started our orchestral journey we always had the dilemma between simplicity and customization options, and I think we've finally achieved an huge step to improve the workflow for any kind of user.

The instrument also features the same DCE system of our previous releases: the script knows the volume of each of the currently sounding samples, so, when crossfading, it can match the volume of the previous samples and avoid the "sucking or bumping" effect that can sometimes happen in some legato libraries.

Maybe Andrew or any other "connoisseur" can give us his/her first impressions. I listened to 5 or 6 Varese versions and I don't like this sound so much.
