    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to find out anyone else has had issues of pops and clicks in monophonic flex time algorithm?
When I have used monophonic elastic time algorithm in Pro Tools there are no pops or clicks when editing and playback.
Has anyone else noticed these differences, or is it just me?

    Thanks

    Daisy

Logic's Flex Time ain't so hot, really. Try bouncing the audio from it to a non-flex-timed track (without effects included), and see if that helps. I've never experiences pops nor clicks with flex time, but have hit other snags with it.

I have occasionally had peak spikes when committing rhythmic elastic time to file. Just undoing the action and committing again gets it fixed. BTW, I'm on 11.2.1.

Thank you both for your kind replies, most appreciated.:)
In Logic Pro X it's seems better to edit vocals timing in polyphonic mode, but you get a strange slurring underwater type thing going on.
As for Pro Tools their algorithm seems better, so maybe I should do my vocal edits there and commit when happy and then transfer audio back into Logic.

    Once again thank you both.

    Have a great weekend

If results are the goal, use melodyne plugin or the App witch can handle poliphonic material...

I have spent dozens of hours in search for pristine vocal editing with pretty much all software available.

Stuff that is useable in a pro production:
    1st choice : ex aequo
Anything based on élastique advanced version (for example Sound Forge, Cubase, vielklang including the free CM version, Pro tools)
OR iZotope Time and Stretch (for example RX5)

    2nd choice:
    Melodyne
great for editing local parts more than time stretching long parts

    Stuff to avoid:
    Logic Pro flex
    Revoice

Unfortunately these last two are both great for their GUI and the short time you need to get things done, but then you have to spend hours spectral editing to remove artefacts, underwater glups and electronical aliases.

Thank you ShadowOfTheZ and Ovalf and everyone else for your help and advice.
I have Pro Tools and Melodyne and will try to do my vocal edits in these two apps.
Flextime seems to be pretty bad for vocals though, which is a shame.

    Have a great weekend.
