Hi Friends!

Long time no chat, been busy, just wondering if someone could assist me in updating my fl studio withou downloading but even worse reinstalling 600+ mb just so i can get the update (12.3) i am currently running 12.1.3 and loving it! ;) cheers.

i dont want to reinstall all my settings etc..

There's no such thing. You probably could try to replace the exe & dll files, and any plugins that got updated, but it's more hassle than it's worth, and you'd still have to download the whole thing, install it, then copy files to old installation. The update allows you to keep settings so it's not much of a problem

 

Oh so if i run the setup it won't delete my directories, plugin lists..etc...? cheers.

No It wont, you wont lose any settings

 

(!) if you select to keep your settings (!), which is de-selected in the installation by default last time I checked

oh just one more thing will it overwrite the R4E BLUE ICONS? I was guessing no but.. i freaking love those icons!

 

Yes you will but just wait some days cause FL 12.3.1 is on its way to become the final state
(currently it's out for beta testing as the 4th release candidate) and I'm working on a new installer
including the icons and some more features, you maybe wouldn't expect to be possible. I also will
add the dark icons in several colors ...oh and as default installation path,
I'll use ...\program files\bla bla bla\FL Studio 12.3 and if you change the path to another disk or so
(like me), it will stay as ...\FL Studio 12.3 (except you'll write in another name for the folder
like ...\FL12.3.1 or so - then it will take your custom path name).

Since every legit FL 12.x installer installs it into ...\program files\bla bla bla\FL Studio 12, you don't
have a chance to keep the old version without renaming the installation path so if you'll use mine,
you get both - your old installation and the new one together, just in case if something doesn't work
with the update for you.

 

Just asking - why do you bother with doing custom releases yourself, changing icons and stuff when most people would prefer a clean install (especially since there's a quality, working keygen and you can download the full installer from a legit unmodified source)? You could just release the icon so when somebody wants to change it, they can do it themselves. Not a fan of bloaty, changed, unupdateable and generally crappy releases when there's an option to go clean.

@Qrchack What do you mean crappy installer, his installer has music and everything.. To me its a vast improvement on the original installer, but hey, thats just me. The icons are also way easier on the eyes resulting in a much longer duration of use of the program.

 

He's offering another option that someone might be interested in, thats all. I know I am.

When you goto update to 12.2.1 DO NOT install the pluginmanager.."deselect it in the checkbox when selecting the components you wanna install..
"If not then you gotta go thru all the inital tedium of setting your vsts up all over again"

Then when you load up for the first time and goto the plug manager the Youll see your old pathways you used for your vst directories.
You then just Rehighlight them and your good to go..

Because I can. It's not only a custom installer, it's fully and completely cracked so that you just install it and everything works.
Another feature is - you don't need any key to get it working and you'll get FL as Signature Bundle (it also shows up in the
about window), which also works as SB when you (for example) bought a legit fruity edition key for 99$ but want to use all
features without paying extra $. And btw., I always include several options to choose from. If you don't like my customizations,
then just don't select them and it will install like the legit installer (but as SB).
See it as an alternative!

ps:
My installer is a complete 1:1 recreation of the legit FL Installer with all its original functions
and some more (and for me useful) custom features.

I'm also waiting for your installer when 12.3.1 come out fully, I definitely enjoy the extra options you put there, thank you.

 

I'm running 12.3.0 and it is crashing a lot, is it just me?

 

Got 12.3 since months without a single added issue, past the crash log (or even the "more info" in the windows crash window)

I think it's the display driver but I'm not sure, most of the time the music keeps playing,
