1) Can I increase the sends from default 4 on the right hand side of the mixer? I've tried and have no idea how.. Besides Reverb Delay SC and Compression i'd like to maybe create a distortion send and maybe analogue emu send or different eq sends setup. So 4 is not enough!

2) For some reason in Ableton there is a control for wetness level of the send but for FL studio it is only for the level of the entire send. So all effected tracks get the same amount of juice from the send, there is no way to tweak each tracks send level manually which is terrible because obviously you do not want the same amount of reverb on each track you want to tweak the wetness level.

 

1. just use one of the insert tracks as a send;)
2. sure there is an option...there is a small knob for that...use this one to regulate how much of the send will be added to your audio....

Dammit i'll have to look harder for this knob lol I remember it controlled the volume last time.

 

Look at the "FX wet mix" knob on the right side of every fx slot. You can automate it. (More info here)

 

See this is the problem.. I only see the knob for wetness for the send track itself, not the track it is effecting.

Unless the knob is a changed value for each track but I don'h think that's the case.

As said, any channel can be used, but if you want to keep the things more organized click with the right button on your "send/bus", look for dock option and select "to the right" now your send will be on the right side of the mixer window all the time.

 

when you highlit a mixer channel you will see all the channels where it is routing (or sidechained) but if you highlight the send itself you will just see it routed to the master channel, think like, all your channels go to the master for instance, but you can send then to another buss instead of the master for more processing or group processing, and from there they goto the master. Once you get used with this logical the things get easier...
And just one more advice, if you want to use a bus for send (not for parallel processing) all your effects on the send channel need to be 100% wet.

Yeah, I never have used it on a project so I'm not an expert on SSL emulations itself, But i think besides the routing options that ssl waves emulations have it's just an usual eq and compressor. If you are trying to get used with analog emulations I recommend start with the API bundle from waves, they're easier to understand and sounds great.

If you cant keep up with the pause button try playing at .5 speed, lol.
