FL Studio keeps saying it's in trial mode after patch

    Hi, I’m using Fl v20.8.4, which I believe is the latest version on Mac. It mostly works, but I'm running into a few issues:
    • I can't clone a VST in the Channel Rack. Instead, a window pops up saying "FL Studio is in trial mode", prompting me to purchase a license.
    • Every time I close the software, a webpage opens with the message "Buy FL Studio now to reopen saved tracks and get Lifetime Free Updates."
    I believe the issue comes from the Default news.rss and Versions.xml files. After replacing them as instructed in the readme.txt, FL Studio throws this error:
    "Could not write to file! /Users/admin/Documents/Image-Line/FL Studio/Settings/Internet/Default news.rss."
    Clicking OK closes the software.

    I managed to fix this in the past. Any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks
