    LOL.. nice...

so yeah, on my PC I just removed the old and installed the new... everything works flawlessly in the 10.0.08 version for me.

Its def a different kind of work flow, but like with Cubase there's a ton of Tut's out there and a shit load of youtube clips.

Also some good dudes on here that are very helpful.

    Good luck..

lol, FL Studio is THE single most pirated DAW on the internet.... And they still have crazzzy support and updates for it. It's @ v.10 for christ sake and it STILL doesn't have a MAC rollout yet.

Just think about that for a second......

And yet, the "kiddie toy" perception still runs rampant on the web lol.... I thought we got over that urban legend already haha.

I am having so much fun with FL 10.. It hasn't... disappointed me yet.

    Newtone Pitch Corrction tool..just beautiful

    Auto-Time stretching great..

Beatslicing... best Ive seen in any daw..

    The piano roll is gorgeous...

The Project and plugin picker are SO helpful, as well as cool, and unlike anything any other daw has.

Good thread, I'm afraid I'm sold too... from my earliest beginnings in Bars & Pipes on the Amiga via all the rest that was ever available on a PC only to end up on FL Studio... hmmm .. what a journey! And if somebody wants to call it "a toy", that's fine by me, I'm having fun again... and that's what matters.

    fl studio..
ok, fun.. ( horrible word, but i need it in my DAW)
    so many options...
    annoying at first, but once you learn the idiosynchrasies, off you fly;
fast and best for getting ideas down, enough good points to overide negatives, like the mixer, but, as i understand it version 12 is rebuilding that from the ground up. also, i don't like the way it 'freezes' tracks, but hey, into each life some rain must fall...
best piano roll of any daw, imho.
run it as a rewire/vst in other DAWs.. that is killer.
great on the fly slicing and playlist is excellent for song structure, again, when you get the hang of it...
    to many things to list.
i want to see a better browser.. maybe customisable shortcuts?
i love it and i do at least one or two ideas a day in it. so there's the main thing: PRODUCTIVE.
it has been said so many times i think it's lost value, but this is about making music, if you can do that smoothly with few gripes, then it's a winner.
    happy fruit looping.

    i just wanted to add.
fl is one of those apps that, whenever i come back to it, there is always something new in it and the chances are, quite powerful to.
so you can mess and play..etc... but you can also make seriously deep music.
i am going to stop this defensive reaction to the haters, my opinion is it is superb and is constantly being developed by a great user base and image line.
fruity loops was also the first piece of pc audio software i ever used. it's evolution has been amazing.
    nuff said like x
