    FL is great.

I love the freeform playlist, I can arrange everything just how I like. Drag multiple audio clips and drum tracks to the same track. I can overlap elements. Tons of creative control and possibilities. In FL, every project itself shows off the unique creative process of the producer, not just always the same linear set of tracks.

The only thing missing is all the modular components, widgets and generators of Bitwig. And perhaps "subsong" system like in Reaper.

The only respectable argument here is about workflow and even that is personal preference, otherwise you guys are being ridiculous about everything else. Every time ANY DAW gets an update there are haters saying OMG they just got *fill-in-the-blank* feature :trashing::suicide: Its all pretty stupid when you consider multiple hit records have been made in said DAW minus *fill-in-the-blank* feature!

I for one enjoy using various DAWS specifically because the workflows are different, which puts me in a different mindset creatively and sometimes feel that I make something I wouldn't have made in another daw. But hey, to each their own!

I used to be fl studio user and supporter. Made me good productions. Once I switched to bitwig it was game over. The fact bitwg can open all my fl studio projects. Has a much better workflow and go right into recording instead of exporting stems.

I never said it is a bad DAW.
In fact, i really tried to love it ... but can't use it the way it works

I totally understand why ppl love it BTW

i will make my usual joke :
    ProLoops VS FruityTools

FL wasn't a DAW at its inception. These updates, imo, finally bring it up to generic DAW functionality. But, it will always be a sequencer on steroids, and complements Ableton like PB&J due to its unique workflow.

....and the PRV can't be matched. lol

SO Happy cause I decided to go LEGIT for a lot of softwares
BUT Arturia I bought the full fx bundle and I think The full V8 instruments But the Money they ask for on one side the V collection 9 update and on the other side the last FX update I feel like I m Buying them again They should be lighter on the people who believed in them
& Reason ??? another one I bought the Reason 11 Suite It s true that I don't read the business around companies and la de da mostly cause of my eyes
But when they sold the company They asked me a Crazy amount of money to go 12 I started by updating he lite one then I dont remember which then the 11 suite if you add the money it was more expensive than having bought straigthly the full directly but some people don't have the money at once in one payment ? right ?
So Arturia I will write them a letter my account has a big bunch of their products hardware and softwares
But I want them to know that I feel robbed and tell them that in the future I will use only they craked V9 V 10 to come I want them to be in my shoes and others and understand why not more people goes legit
They re French I will write french or call them if I have to
I know it s a lot of work and so but other companies with equals or superior qualities are cheaper
it s not cheaper or very cheap that I want but RESPECT for the ones that once took all they had to buy all ( in these troubled times they think we print money?)and a few months after they have to repay repay ? They will know my real name I dpnt give a shit

Dang! I tried Bitwig some time ago but didn't know about this. LMMS had that feature but was removed because the FLP format was changing a lot and no one was around to reverse it.

Bitwig is trying to do some good in a much needed area https://github.com/bitwig/dawproject

ever since they got rid of offline authorization with keyfile, this daw has been completely off the radar for me personally

Why? Do you care a lot about critics from the 'pro's' ? & Are you aware some of the 'pro's' use FL on a professional basis?

You can still authorize with a keyfile, this is generated PC-specific via the Image-Line account.

Might I suggest that you DO NOT write to Arturia and tell them that you will use the cracked versions of their software going forward, or AS members will find where you live and tickle you to death with our strong guitarst, pianist, and drummer fingers.
    - Thank you.

That is a good info. Just was tried at 4a.m. Well it is loading project midi data, but i dont had luck with vst instruments and some audio files were out of sync... Tomorrow i will investigate. I would like to learn bitwig it is so interesting and audio stretching is very good.

I was just doing that as I tested best way to transfer a project OUT of FL Studio.
It seems to work OK but i did not get too far.
Instead I used FL Studio as a plugin for one thing and I exported the midi for another (Tools-Macros-Prepare for midi export).
Not sure what is easiest so far, but just getting it into Bitwig doesn't seem to help me, because I want it in Reaper :)

They seem to always focus on visual updates rather than the DAW, some new features are good, but as alot of people have said its the workflow that sucks.
