Finally paid for it around 2008 after using it forever.
Can't complain about 14 years of free updates.
I work fast with it and it makes a great sketch pad for ideas.

 

It runs on my RME UCX very well. But it could be a driver issue as well

I think you're the one who misunderstands something. You need to be connected EVERY time you want to reinstall the software. That means you're dependent on an internet connection, as opposed to having a version that can be installed offline and activated with a offline key. Having an offline key means that version is portable and will be yours forever as opposed to a version that needs to be activated every time you install it.

 

Much bigger tools have been cracked. FL Studio is nothing more than a kid in comparison with them.

I've used FL Studio for almost a decade now (since FL 10), and I can tell you the "fade" features aren't really new, just a new way of programming it graphically.

The most exciting thing I see here is the new color scheme. Everything else looks standard/expected.

Hopefully the further improve cpu handling and project load/render times, but that's probably a pipe dream.

 

do you remember the main automation pattern on the pattern 10 channel?

Lol, the new theme is mono's midnight theme which he created 4 years ago after we started skinning the "unskinable" FL Studio 20.0.
It's kind of a reward that they're using a theme created by people who Image-Line used to call "criminals" for proving that FL still can
be skinned with its vectorial GUI.

I just hope they're allowing using several skins, otherwise the olive color loving community will start to revolt.

My screen is bit more yellow/red-ish, I thought the color meant to look like someone who drank olive oil and defecated on my screen.

Still my favorite DAW tho.

 

I still use FL11 & I couldn't give a knats boolocks about ya update! or ya 64 bit! or the colour of the Gui! All the best music was made without all upgrade booolocks!

People think that by updating their tools, possibility of making better songs increases.

There's no strong relationships between good songs and new tools. Grim reality and historical truth have shown that by updating tools and modernizing them, the quality of music decreases.

I hope that users will one day realize this bitter fact and not spend their time waiting for endless updates.
