I have noticed that version 20 contains not one but 2 different plugin database folders. In version 12 the sole plugin database was located at C:/program files x86/Image Line/FL Studio 12/Data/Patches/Plugin Database. While version 20 still has a plugin database folder oh that location it has added another one at C:/Users/(user)/My documents/Image Line/Data/FL Studio/Presets/Plugins database. With this approach FL Studio has separated its plugins database from third party ones. I personally like this approach better because it provides us with greater flexibility with customization as well as preservation of third party plugin databases upon updates. What do you think?

 

At first it may seem like it's a good idea and could be for most users
but unless IL make fl studio with backwards compatibility it can end up a mess
if its not updated right over time for some of us.

At them moment its ok cause fl 12 and 20 have there own databases than can be updated independently fom each other
but if you want to keep v20 and install an update say v21 v22 ect,
if you then add new plugins to the database using any updated versions
the plugins will not open in the older version,just something to keep in mind
and to use the older version of fl to update the database if ya want to keep a few different versions of fl around.

 

What other folders are in C:\Users\User\Documents\Image-Line\Data\FL Studio\Presets?
