Thanks Momo, I am downloading now. The previous 12 is still quite buggy and messing me up on a number of counts such as generic links behavior and a host of other quirky bits such as backwards compatibility. I went forwards with a piece I started and was having trouble with the stinkers of the last release as it could not read the address of any of the plugins or samples. Argggg. Now I know better, live and learn.

 

I don't want to mess up things worse then I already did, I'm waiting for 12.02 stable!

like super-liquid says, its still buggy, I don't have my sample maps messed up ( I migrated before *yes* )
but bridged plugins seem to behave strange causing short hangs or total crashes.
don't start about my Behring bfc in mackie control, it is totally lost...

story short, Auto backup every 5 min has been my friend this last 2 weeks

 

There are alot of files i back up befor i update is scary when something goes wrong
any your like wtf did i do that for.
so would be best to wait if there are not may errors your getting at the moment
The Parametric EQ2 is a fix i needed as the defalt setting was messing up my sounds.

i dont use fl vsti plugins much and it would be good it they just put the updated files in there download
insted of having to download 400 mb and install it again,
i seen when the update was installing it even skiped the files it did not need to be updated
so it only installed about 30 mb from the full installer as the updated files.


here is what you should back-up if your worryed,

C:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System

it has alot of user info that you could need again if something goes wrong,
you will find the Config folder and in it Snap1 to 10.

and then in your reg file

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line]

this has the short cuts were your sounds are Search paths ect

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\Search paths]

after you back up your reg file it just takes a click to put it back again
been down that road myself and this has saved me alot of worry and time
