A replacement for my aged Intel XEON1230v3 with 32GB.
It will be my Television Media PC in retirement.

I add my AMD RX7600 Graphic card to that new PC and some NVMe´s, SSD´s from my old computer.
    1400€ for the parts.

Main apps are Studio One7 ,Cubase13. DaVinciResolve and yea some games.

after doing some research on parts that's what i thought would fit well together.

Tell me what you think if you like.

which are the other SSDs you'll reuse from old PC?

is the new 990 Evo Plus planned as main drive?
I checked that store and I think Kingston Fury Renegade or Kingston KC3000 might be slightly better due to having own DRAM cache (990 Evo doesn't),
I do have 4TB Fury Renegade but it cost me around 240€ new so I guess prices do fluctuate a lot

    I move >>
    Crucial MX500 with 1TB x 2
    Crucial 1TB NVMe
to the new system, or maybe just copy the DATA to faster NVMe.

    And thank you!
I will check that KC3000 and get one for my Samples and Graphic Data, since i wanted the 990evo just for the System.

    you're welcome,

also do check for any good deals on 4TB NVME drives - since there's very limited number of M.2 slots on the motherboard, you may want some headroom for future (and just as with any SSD, higher capacity usually means better performance and lifespan)

since i am coming from a 2013 intel xeon 1230v3 everything i just bought will be like a thunderstorm.

my new setup will be like 600-700% faster, i wont notice anything beyond that :)

i am going to use 32GB PrimoCache of the 96GB memory which is Xxxxx times faster than any NVMe.

Seems like a good performance/price set, especially after knowing you're going to use RAM as disk cache. Enjoy!

SSD unreliable, motherboard too expensive and not the best for audio, cheap memory, saving money on power supply is never a good idea. :(

That's my personal opinion, of course. My remarks, as a grey old PC builder, that you don't have to read :) :

Never buy Crucial BX SSDs if you like your data, even MX are not what they used to be. Samsung ones (even EVO) are more reliable, or go with Crucial MXs. Gigabyte MBOs are not as good as Asus (usually memory problems, meaning they skimp on testing memory compatibility), that's always been the case (even Asus is not as good as it used to be to tell the truth). You could just get Asus Prime X870-P for about 100 euro less, if you like the assortment of the I/Os, of curse. Regarding the power supply, a Thermaltake Toughpower is not bad... if you plan on changing it 5y from now. :) Get a Seasonic Core GX-750 or Corsair RM750e. Those will last and are also very quiet. I would also suggest memory from either Corsair (Vengeance) or Kingston (Fury). Every bit counts.

    Cheers!

I forgot... I am really happy for you! That's a huge leap from 2013 to now! Enjoy!
