Why did you use EQ? What was your purpose? Why you needed compressor and limiter? Why is it -3dB? Why not -4?

When you answer those questions, you'll find it. Use your ears. We can make the same meal with the same ingredients but we can't make the same music with the same plugins. If you want to be special, don't look for a recipe. That's my humble advice.

When you said EQ, did you mean dynamic EQ and/or M/S EQ? When you said compression, did you also mean parallel compression AKA New York compression?

aha these replies are funny, but yeah don't just stick an EQ on for the sake of it everything you do must be for a reason.
if there is something you think is missing, then do it.

    but before you finish anything
i'd say the final touch is references.

Yes, why Eq? Is it not better, to go back and ReEq each sound on it's own?

If it's mastered then it's finished and you leave it that way AFAIK. Everything you do to it, you do before the final limiter and dither.

Maybe your question should be "have I mastered this right?" with a track example. How can anybody tell you anything without having a listen to your track? You don't put a plugin on the master "just because". You put it there if the track needs it.

    Cheers!

Great ears comes with experience and constant practical activity. You can't replace good hearing taste and quality monitoring with dropping some plugs on the master. Being able to distinguish what's good and what's bad with that song in order to judge the need for further processing, now that's what you need.
The only shortcut for getting better at mixing/mastering is this:
    1. Good monitoring speakers. You have no idea how better you can get guided by some great monitoring speakers. In case you'll ever sell your used car for a great musical sake, buy the holy grails of nearfield monitors: Amphion One18. They're the actual century's NS10s and way more pleasent on the ears.
    2. Get some great songs references to calibrate your ears with it. That way you'll train your hearing taste which is hugely important, especially if you want your masters to meet the labels quality level.
    3. Do it as often as you can.
    4. Stay focused.
