    Hello everyone,
I was just wondering what the composers out there use for solo female singers. I LOVE the shevannai library. The problem is that it has a very "signature" sound and it can get very old if used too much.
    Anyone have any suggestions ?

    Thanks !

I like Blue though I'm not that great at making her sing.

I use Bela D Media's "Diva Revamped", which is the complete collection of all their female vocalist libraries for Kontakt. From what I can tell, it's every bit as good as EWQL's "Voices of Passion". The only problem is, I'm not sure that they make it anymore or that Bela D Media is even still around ... but if you can find the library, get it!

You mean using a pitch shifter? I mean, that works sometimes, but depending on your voice you can either sound like a mouse or a fairy tale giant

    No pitch shifter please
I do se that you are a woman, but the best tool to make back vocal is Melodyne if a man wants to sound like a woman or ir you wanna multiply you voice with other non unissono voices.
I prefer to record myself all the voices (sometimes I call some woman to help) and thats will give you the best results, melodyne or autotune if you need.
Today is very easy to do parallel voices but I prefer to write everything.
Off course write and record are piece of cake!
Another thing that we can adapt are phrases pre recorded (loops) and edit in your DAW (most do) or melodyne again...
Kontakt is a great tool too, there are videos that a guy get a melody and completely tranform/harmonize. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtEoB9SqUoI
    I hope it helps :mates:

I remenber one cool FemaleSolo from Hephaestus (its free)

Obviously, just like a guitar, a bass, drums or any other real instrument or sound, you will always be better off with a real (and, preferably, talented) player with a decent instrument or voice that is well-recorded. However, because you can't always get your hands on the real thing, or you're on a tight deadline, or you may just be vowed and determined (like me) to do it all on your own, you're stuck having to get the best "fake" version you can. Thankfully, technology has advanced to the point where you can at least get close with a sample library!
