    needs a better intro structure.
i would add more highs - its sounding dull.
then i would work on more complex drum patterns and then build it right up.
the same for the leads - there are a way to simple.

what i really is that kind of old school pluck :grooves: .

(you aimed for more new kind of trance? or more like the old european version btw 2001-2005?)

First minute of track is too repetitive, as far as urge goes it's static because of that, think about small brakes like chance to bring more power, not only to make some change every 8 bar.
Work more on rhythmic parts, introduce new element every 8 bar instead, they push the track further.
Also work more on structure or "Story" , start from few elements than bring them as track progresses, that's one way to retain to story and energy, so that will give you about 6-7 minutes length of track.
Take pieces and bytes from longer stuff and use them for introduction too, that's way you have one constant building into the main section.

    Soundcloud working again now!

    The piece sounds okay, compact.
But it's very easy to mix electronic music compared to a multi-track Classic or Rock piece where you often have more than 40 tracks!

WTF first I have two very important things. to the poster: this is my opinion. . . too much compression or volume on synths on around 2.17 time... then add more side chain compression to make it groove more. add more unified theme sound/ melody. If the da da...da ... da da, da thing was the theme (hopefully I got your rhythm right) then layer it with some lead like nexus hands up synth... and just have the claps from a crowd going instead of kick, pause, then all the instruments go in... (some suggestions off the top). But add more synths and bring the volume of yours down and add some side chain for sure..

NOW to kookaboo. I hate saying anything to you as you are kind of like a god... but I have to say it... that all my electronic mixes are at minimum 50-100 tracks. so 40 tracks is lacking in my electronic mixing world... I dont know about maybe some simple electronic. Skrillex was over 40 tracks and listen to his electronic. same with armen van buren...

    @ jiemayn

50 to 100 tracks for an electronic mix??? :wow:
I've made some very good sounding Ambient pieces with just 5 to 10 tracks!! :phones:

But of course there are people that always need to add more and more....

you havnt seen todays EDM project screenshots. i know a producers who has 120+ channels in his trance tracks always. (well yeah trance is evolving currently - means more and more layers with every new quartel and it doesnt sound great imo.)
and i agree you can do ambient track with just under 10 channels.

Yes, obviously term "electronic" describes wide range of music genres, from very simple to complex.

Don't get me wrong, I'm for "less is more" , but taking in account that simple drum part is 5 channels already, don't mention few percussion hits that form good rhythmic part, you got 10 channels right away.

Layered synths, basslines, effects and everything takes place&space, add vocals on that and it's nothing less than one band spread on mixing desk *yes*
