    Hello folks,
hope this is the right forum for this, thus I am wondering if any of you are having or had trouble with Facebook asking you for your Government ID to verify your account with them?

I am having this problem with them and they asking for my Gov ID is pretty scary not to mention that IMHO they are overreaching. FB is becoming a monster lately! So, they closed my account and they gave me a 7 days grace period during this time I have to verify myself with a Gov ID if I want to reinstate my account fully again. The interesting part is that it happened right after I had received more than 200 friend requests in just one day as my account is now growing pretty fast after my enormous marketing efforts it seems paying of pretty well. I am very reluctant to provide them my Government issued picture ID. Do any of you are having similar problems with them or had this problem in the past? If so how did you solve it. Fake IDs maybe? Do they work at all? Fuck Facebook by the way!

Use Photoshop to create one were the name you use on Facebook appears.
This way, you "keep your privacy"...
I don't use my real name on Facebook, and after they ask me the same, All I have done, was "Photoshoped" a fake ID from another country.... There's plenty templates online.
    Works flawless

oh, they've come this far. what's next? they gonna ask you to come visit their office to verify it's really you? then put your signature on a paper that says it's really you? then bring your family and friends as witnesses to verify it's really you? your lawyer maybe too?

first it was ridiculous, now it's downright outrageous.

remember! the legal standing of anyone online demanding your ID is non-existent.

even if they ask, only ask, because they sure are in no right to demand it, you have all the rights in the world to tell them to go... make up some creative ending here.

Its getting crazy. It started with telephone numbers....
IMDB is also shutting down comments/forum section. The best part of imdb was going trough the comments to find out useful info about the movie, cast, crew, locations, etc.Especially about older movies.

Yp, it's normal. You've probably done something network related (like used a VPN or proxy or...) happened to me - I had my main FB account, and some "additional" ones to test things (how the posts look, how SC or YT links translates). It was normal at the time. FB not asking anything.. then some day I accessed acc from another location and bam! you know the rest. They didn't have any alternative method either at the time (like phone and so..)

I would advice you to do what @Vader said only if you really care. I mean I agree.. it's a solution, but it's a "forgery". Even if you take FB out of the equation. I think they really don't have any right to demand such an ID. But in the near future you'll prob have to give them a photo of your assWhole, with stamp (for 'em to see if they fit)

So happy I'm not 15 or 20 y/o.. Even if I had to eat lots of gated snare. At least it had that warm tape saturation on it.. :winker:

Funny, as I recall about 8-9 years ago I tried registering on IMDB and they actually asked for my social security number or something of that sort, which I couldn't provide since I wasn't even American (and wouldn't provide even if I was).

Is facebook that relevant nowadays, anyway? I hardly visit it in recent years and it seems like a lot of people stopped posting or updating their profile.

or when they talk about, how alike one actress look to another lol.
    imdb without comments

well FB is trying to get out the fraud people using methods to buy firiends or likes, but isnt that what facebook is doing itself, with its promote to show your comment or advertisment of the page? as they own click farms int he 3rd world and other countries. me and my friend have analysed this for a while, you get likes from people, who dont even interested in your page, they just like and nothing happens. that is fraud too and you pay for it.

Better be sure you weren't accidentally interacting with a facebook typo domain.. such as when this happens by accident.. faccebook.com, faceboook.com, etc

Most of us know their way around the internet and predicted this more than ten years ago, it's no real surprise to be honest

I understand if its for business related stuff, so you can use that evil shit for your own advantage.
Zuckerberg is an evil fuck. How many refugees has he hosted in his big gated villa(s)?
He is a typical hypocrite like most of the 1% elitists.

Is it necessary for the ID to be from another country?

    My favorite: fecesback.com

Seriously though, this happened to me once when I used one of those sites that provide a temporary virtual phone number for SMS verification. Those things look like they're cheap sites and run out of some warehouse basement but the majority are actually funded by governments for "security" reasons because they feel they have cause to monitor anyone who would want to use a fake number for verification.

No I haven’t done anything of that although it is a good info to know what else can be expectable from them (FB).
What happened to me is that I have received increasing friend requests because of my latest networking efforts. I have gone to meetings, conferences, red carpet events… etc. and it is now starting to pay off. 3 days ago I received about 230 friend requests in one day and I have accepted most. Today it has passed 1000 requests, but now I am reluctant to accept them thanks to FB. I am doing everything I can to improve my networking traffic in a legit way and this is what I get from FB. I know what FB is, how they are a face front for the authorities to get as many info from us as they can. It is despicable, and honestly they should sink to Hell eventually, but still, damn FB is one of the best platform for marketing. Hope not for long. It is definitely time for a Class Action Suit against them that I heard is already brewing. FB pissed of to many folks and maybe even pissed of some powerful folks as well.
