Everything's relative, LOL. With a super computer even Diva is a joke. But ten times as much is ten times as much, right?

Denise Audio’s DragonFire. Versatile, has the ability to mimic multiple kinds of compression styles. Great price, great company. No ilok.
That is if you’re not going the Pro-C or Izotope routes.

    v1 is free https://jonvaudio.com/fircomp/, v2 is ~ 20 - 30 bucks, depending on £, $ or €.

However, it's a clean comp and therefore not really a replacement for Arousor.

Thanks for the many answers. I already got Pro C2, but often it lets me down on more dirty kind of work, so I was looking for a companion.

I mean sure, but even on my old laptop (i7 8550u) it has very low cpu usage. Can load up a whole lot of those bad boys without having issues

The people in this Forum are Bad for Advice.
some have Recommended Plugins with Bad Aliasing or poor Anti-Aliasing Filters

    Learn to understand Aliasing, distortion
Learn Plugin Doctor to then Test the plugins yourself..
    more informed decision.

A lot of plugins have bad Aliasing Filters
bad gain structure. the developers dont understand
    Anti-Aliasing.

Arouser Dave Derr got caught insulting people
and has lack of knowledge of how plugins work
    And Anti-Aliasing on the Arouser

Solid State got caught lying about their plugins

    Plugin Alliance are bad aliasing
    Eventide are bad aliasing
Almost all Waves plugins have Aliasing

    Aliasing is Bad...

I appreciate your opinion, but are there any plugins you can recommend? Also, I'm interested in the insults from Dave Derr.

Contrar, mon Ami, every time that I use fircomp2 it arouses me so...ooo la la. It's expressive curves, the sexy shift of its transparency (unless I get rough and throttle it) and intuitive way that it looks ahead to fulfill its work and to make my life a musical joy.

Thankfully we have you here. Sadly, you're posting less than two times a year. How comes?

Surprised DMG Trackcomp 2 has not been mentioned yet.

Lots of different compressor models to choose from, all very well done.

both of these statements are easily debatable, and at the least subjective.
I see Tokyo Dawn Records mentioned, So personally, I Find there to be nothing wrong with this forum.
And don't know of any place that is better then here. (plz don't say Kvr, or god-forbid Gearslutz)

This is such a non issue unless you drive those plugins into infinity, a lot of people used waves plugins back in the day for hit records and no one has an issue. Other people say oh is for those who work on 192khz audio, then I ask who are they making music for? The majority of people listen on streaming services that work just fine, normal people aren't listening on speakers like that. That teenzy bit of extra high end detail isn't going to be heard by 99% of people, so it's like peeing into the wind and thinking you're responsible for creating rain.

Reading Comprehension is Key to understanding a Conversation. It also helps before a Reply.

You will note that I stated some in this Forum Not all.

    Some people are Slow Learners.
Next time you might want to read Comments a bit Slower so you May comprehend the context.

Also, You just gave Bad Advice by stating Debatable, Subjective.
Aliasing/Imd is Bad this is Not debatable

I been here since the beginning.
There is no difference between AudioSex vs. Gearslutz
Both have mis-information, SJWs, members here act same as on Twitter or Gearslutz.
