    Hello,

i just started to practice guitar again after a long break, and maybe I want to buy a new guitar to boost my motivation a little more. So I thought it might be fun to ask which models you like the most.

    I'm a huge fan of Fender, especially offset-models. I have a Fender Mustang MG73 https://69.img.avito.st/640x480/8433591169.jpg and a Fender Toronado GT https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/89/Fender_Toronado_GTHH.jpg

I had a Squier Jaguar a few years ago, was really nice, too. But I sold it, because I wanted the Mustang really bad... This girl from my favourite anime had one too, hahaha https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net...est/scale-to-width-down/340?cb=20100530072604

At the moment I'm trying to build a partscaster Telecaster. I want to change the neck (maple freatboard) and the pickups (neck humbucker and a better standard bridge Telecaster pickup), and add a killswitch. The finish is really bad... But I like it.

I love Rickenbackers and Gibson semi-acoustics, too, but sadly they are a little too expensive for me.

I don't like the look of most guitars for metal (24 frets and pickups for high-gain) that much, but since I want to play metal sometimes and maybe even want to join a metal band (in my location are more metal bands than punk or indie bands...), I might buy a "metal guitar" next. The models from schecter look nice... And a guitar with a longer scale might be a good idea, my Mustang or Toronado are not the best for drop-tunings.

    And what are your favs?

My favourite electric is my Steinberger GM2T which a friend sat on and still needs a $700 Trans Trem replacement. Sad. This is not my foto. It's not playable so I play my cherry 1989 Blade R2 if doing the electric thing.

My favorite acoustic guitar is my 1992 Roy Noble Cedar/Brazilian dreadnought named Taja. The soft cedar top has a ton of mojo after being played consistently for 28 years at wild parties and gigs. She sounds as beautiful as the Taj Mahal. She'll need a neck reset soon as I shaved down the saddle as far as possible and slotted the B and E string pin holes because there was no longer enough of an angle for the those two strings to freely vibrate.

I have a Martin D-18 and D-15M which I play every day and a few others which I keep in various alternate tunings like DADAAD or DGDGAE

I am into LP models but not being a true guitarist to the bone I have a hard time in invensting in instruments that are likely to sit behind my keyboards most of the time. However a couple of years ago I heard and saw a guitar at a very interesting price and I pulled the trigger.

After playing for about 30 years. I have a Les Paul and A few Fenders. One is a 1970 Strat and it my go to guitar. I can get any sound out of it.
I have EVH it, installed a Kahaler locking Tremolo on it and upgraded the pickups. I did not cut the body and I had the frets redone due to wear with stainless steal.

I'm mainly a keyboard player but I like a basic old Gibson (or Epiphone) SG. I also like those 80s Ibanez guitars with 2 single coils and a double at the bridge and a nice floating tremolo. All the sounds I need right there.

That's really sad .-. Headless guitars are not my thing but they seem to play really comfortable... I totally forgot about Blade... Good brand, wanted to buy a used Strat ten years ago as my first guitar, but instead I've got a really cheap supermarket-guitar...

At the moment I have not so much interest in acoustic guitars, I have a 300€ Recording King dreadnought which is really nice, and a not so nice, but ok-ish playable 50€ classic guitar. And an old classic guitar from my mother... It sounds really good, but the string action got really high, maybe I need to shave the saddles too, or it just need a little (more) repair... When I have enough money, I'll do it. And a Dobro-style guitar would be nice...

Yeah I think Telecasters are my favourite guitars afer all, one day I will buy another one for sure, maybe a Thinline... I'm not really a Strat guy, but maybe I buy a Hello Kitty Strat and mod the hell out of it in the next months hahaha. Before I was a guitar player, I only played bass, and the P-basses are my favourites, too, but I only ever had one bass, a P-copy, never found something better. At the moment I don't play bass, because keybords and guitars are enough for now, but if I do one day, I want to buy a new one and maybe something different like a Thunderbird or a Musicman. Les Pauls are really great too, but my Toronado has kinda similar feautures, so I don't think I need a LP in the nearer future...

I love the "ugly" 1960s Vox guitars too https://www.vintageandrare.com/uploads/products/39225/1384688/big.jpg

If you have plenty of saddle left you could shave it down, but do just a little at a time taking away material from the bottom. If you need to go very low, the break angle of the strings will not have enough pressure on the saddle to make a sound strong and robust. Then a neck reset would need to be done but it would cost more than the guitar is worth.

I had to shave the saddle of this 60 year old Framus 5/3 a few months ago and the high E string is very close to that place that the break angle is not enough. The neck straight and the action is still too high, but the guitar is only worth perhaps 30 bucks so the neck reset won't be happening. If the action gets any higher I'll replace the nut with a fat bolt and use it as a slide dedicated guitar.

I suppose if money was no object at all I would get an Adrian Belew signature Parker Fly. It makes any sound known to guitar, has a 13-pin out, Vari-axe tech, a sustainer and it's pretty much built to be indestructible and have perfect intonation forever even if you decide to use it as a baseball bat. You can hold those things up by the whammy bar and shake them like a level 8 earth quake and they come back in tune.

I heard from a reliable source that Tarantino knew that the stunt guitar wasn't switched out. He wanted the true in the moment reaction from Jennifer, and ge certainly got it. And, the guitar was never worth $400K unless the providence of the instrument could be proven that Billy the Kid used to strum it with his dick while singing love songs to Broadway star of the time, Maud Adams (visualize that).

Similar excellent condition Martin guitars of the period go for no more than 5 or $6000.

What the fuck was Martin Guitars thinking to offer a museum piece for a movie set prop?

    EPIPHONE 230T CASINO 1962 SERIAL 99835.JPG

So here's my 1962 Casino 230T. I will say this is my favorite guitar (as long as my other guitars don't hear it).
