Nebula by far is the best because of the convolution technology it uses. Check out
    to hear a comparison

Pretty sure one could use Blackhole convincingly on a classical ensemble.
    0 modulation, 0.5 sec tail, 0.025% wet.

I like reverbs that can go like unlimited time.
When you have such a reverb, you can do verry cool things that some reverbs are limited to.

Yeah, I can hear that it's flawed and I can see it (he compared the naked IRs in Nebula to treated presets in Seventh Heaven).

It's surprising how few people have mentioned Baby Audio's Crystalline. It has a beautiful sound, it's easy to tweak, it can add some shimmer without THAT shimmering tone and it usually blends nicely with the tracks. It's my go-to reverb for general mixing, specially when I need something more transparent than a Valhalla or I don't want to have a coffee break while I wait for the Altiverb to open

I am a nebula fan boy and those libraries are full of artifacts. I own them don't have them installed, just my 2 cents. I use cupwises and pethericks all the time, those are great no such problems (and no pain in the ass authorization either).

I wrote this earlier but since it got brought up again, i also own the Blue Sky Plugin because I'm fucking terrible with money- not because I'm rich, but because I'm very poor. Besides the stupid price and the stupid ilok it's the best algo reverb ive used. It's a Swiss army knife works for everything, from the huge lush stuff to short ambience it's got basically every type of verb setting you could want, the same algorithym as their pedals with the plugin convenience. Because of their pedal market I don't see them lowering the price or having a sale any time soon, I even emailed them asking about Black Friday and they got back to me saying as much. No sales. So unless it shows up on the sister site buying it seems to be the only option besides the 7 day trial which is a large downside.

I think another reason I like it is that I don't need to cycle through a bunch of different vsts if I want to experiment, cause I'm fucking lazy as well as poor, im sure there isn't a correlation there at all.

I can't explain it logically but I've got some love relationship with the first Audio Damage EOS reverb,
the algorithms were made by Sean Costello of later ValhallaDSP fame.

Great! Thx! By the way, for the spatial sound effect, isn't it better to use the ones from the same developer, otherwise it will sound weird?
eg) If I used Valhalla reverb, then should I use Valhalla delay? Or it doesn't matter?

Yes, you must use same developer plugins together as the central code must be exactly alike or else radial hyper-phasing will occur. That means as the spokes of the soundwheel (visualize that) travel through the air after being processed from your interface soundcard (it makes no difference if the audio is broadcast from monitors, headphones or ear buds) the stereo signal is literally ripped apart and terrible distortion is introduced. The best visual example of this phenomenon I could come up with is in the chariot race in the film Ben Hur. I hope that helps.

I've seen it happen in Paris once, many people were killed. Best to avoid such situations.

    All or none.

    accept no substitutes...

it doesnt matter. if your using a reverb to create a space, you want to add that reverb to the delay anyways; so it also sounds like its in the same space

you would think that, but every developer works in a different size room and has different ears so they all
vary from slightly to tremendously. I usually ask the developer for the size of his working room so I can compare it to my studio space. also if its a really expensive plugin I ask for a picture of their ears next to a tape measure so i can compare.

best to really stick with same developer once you understand their physical spaces, to avoid ripples in the aether and subharmonic resonance amongst other difficulties. its hard enough make a number one country hit, what with drunk drummers and cryin singers, I don't want to have to calculate the subharmonic resonance of a non-spatial time diffential while I'm in the middle of breaking up a fight between the bass players "gurlFriends".

Make it stop. just use the same plugins...
its a dangerous road and most of the cars have no headlights..

Listen to this guy, he knows the deal.

I take it one step further : I use one plugin for everything. Need to add some space? OTT. Need to tame those resonances? OTT. Need to slice samples in alphanumerical order and play them in 64 voice unison? OTT.
