    My top 5:
    1. WaveArts MasterVerb5/6 - That Env shaping via gate awsome, i havnt found anything comparable for that.
    2. Arts Acoustic Reverb - AAR, one of the best algo reverbs and easy on the cpu.
    3. Abletons Hybrid Reverb and Reverb, the awsome to get stuff very fast done

Thats all i need so far ...

and all of them do not require any BS like ilok ...

Yikes, a 38 page thread on favorite reverb plugins.:woot:

I don't think there is any 'best' or 'go-to' reverb. It's all subjective. I try to mix things up and use different reverbs whenever possible. I don't want to just slap Supermassive on every track. Sometimes TAL Reverb 2, 3 or 4. Sometimes I want to use the unique diffuse effect in xhip's old reverb.

I even keep good ol Freeverb around. I've used "PianoVerb" and other character verbs, Lexicon, Korg, and a few convolution verbs even though I don't really understand it, I just choose a room preset and move on.

So no favorites, just a wide palette .

Exponential Audio has R4 and Nimbus on sale right now for 9€ each!
I've heard people talking a lot about Exponential Audio over the last years, especially in the domain of film music. R4 being more of a tail reverb and Nimbus to put instruments inside of a room.

I have to to pull the trigger but I wonder if that could clash with other iZotope cracks, as the plugins need to be installed via the izotope center? (will probably make another post for this question)

Getting ready to experiment with Acustica Silver. I've been using Altiverb and Waves Abbey Road Plates up until now.

Since discovering convolution reverbs, finding the right reverb for the job has turned into finding or processing existing impulse responses.

I add MuLab's reverb here, the filter after the reverb algo can add very cool resonances, when used with Hat samples for example.

And the best it is free - https://www.mutools.com/muverb-product.html

And let there be another 38 pages of fav. reverbs.

Write what are the things you are looking for and if is something for vocals, synths or maybe a one trick pony? I would say go and get hofa blind test and apply reverbs to a snare (because if something sounds good on a snare it sounds good on anything, I don't remember the exact video where I learned that but it's actually true).

Once you are doing your blind test check with a meter the db and rms or lufs you are getting and see also the stereo image. Once everything is set just compare and if you like something more but you think it lacks something what is that thing that lacks? maybe more saturation? slight compression? maybe a little eq? Remember to not over think it so much.

For me is valhalla room for almost anything, vintage verb for vocals or one shot synths and the default reverb of fl if the project is gettint intense.
If you want something that sounds "real" the east west is something great, or go with altiverb.

check this video also, a blind test done by professionals:
