Which isn't my message nor was disregarded by me in any way. Would you mind waking up from your ethylic coma before posting? Much appreciated.

So much so that you failed to name such a car. Come on give us the car of the 80's which is industry standard, borracho!

Yes, hardware it's not relevant. The fact that the algo runs on a 18-bit memory whose calculation are outplayed by most modern CPU is not relevant. Not to mention the quantization error and the coefficient zippering...

Oh really? What was the last recording from Deutsche Grammophon where you can hear your lovely chorusing tails, Mr. Industry at LArge?

Of course, everybody enjoys having a museum piece so frequently used that prices are skyrocketing. You either go to Sotheby's to buy yours or Christie, it's not like people sell them on ebay for cheap...xD

I got the idea from the very start, never said it's not good but it is a product of his time and it shows. If you go for that sound it's one thing but if you have to do the fanboy who pisses his pants just to overhaul some marketing stuff and musical myth you can just continue on your own.

Let's not confuse him any more; I believe I am correct in saying that actually the car thing was his analogy.
Popstarkiller has great spelling, understanding of logic, and lack of insults...for a drunk.
At least Popstarkiller has obviously been in a studio!
Impossible. It's Bonhams for musical stuff.

God damn, I didn't want it to get personal, but man you're either a troll or a complete idiot.

First, yes, your assertion that posts from 2013 don't matter does imply that older plugins aren't good enough.

"So much that you failed to name a car" thanks for once again showing that you have no understanding of what a metaphor or analogy is. It's not about the car, it's about the concept of old things being better than new things. And I gave plenty of examples in the audio industry where old things are still considered industry standards and better than the new.

Hardware is not relevant because we are talking about plugins here - the 480 is just an example of an algorithm that, despite old, is still considered golden. Memory and bits are not relevant as long as the sound is good.

Deutsche Grammophon? huh? if you watch those various videos of top engineers showing how they work, they still largely use reverbs from the 80's and 90's, and you can see the remote control of the 480 on the consoles of the best studios in the world.

"Of course, everybody enjoys having a museum piece so frequently used that prices are skyrocketing. You either go to Sotheby's to buy yours or Christie, it's not like people sell them on ebay for cheap...xD" - what the fuck are you even trying to say here? how is this idiotic rhetoric in any way refute what I said?

If you indeed got the idea, than stop trying to pretend that it's not true that the music industry at large prefers old equipment. Just admit you wrote a stupid, condescending post and stop acting like a moron to evade it.

This is how I imagine "chopin4525" in the studio:

Guitar player: *pulls out '64 Fender Strat*
chopin4525: What are you doing?! we can't use that, this guitar was made prior to 2014! Besides, didn't you hear Leo Fender moved on to G&L? Here, I brought my Line 6 Variax, this guitar is so much more advanced, and contains less limitations.
Guitar player: Well, I guess everything will sound nice through my 1971 Marshall amp...
chopin4525: *eyes bulge out* Have you gone out of your mind?! This amp is so old and primitive that it induces artifacts like *gasp* distortion! This latest Zoom amp simulator is all we need.
Guitar player: Hey man this amp and guitar are industry standard and are used by the best, despite being old--
chopin4525: How dare you?! No old car is considered best today, therefore nothing old can be considered best! Move on with the times grampa!
Singer: At least we're gonna use that LA-2A on the way in, right?
chopin4525: *snorts* An LA-2A? Why would you need some stupid unit from the 60's that's so limited you can't even set attack and release times? I've got a great plugin compressor by iZotope that came out a month, it has, like, so many options!
    Band: Fuck off, you're fired.

You needed two posts none of which addressed the technical issues I mentioned. Guess you had nothing to say besides your wild imagination, fanboy. Thanks for proving my point.

Never said that. Try again loser.

I really dig these Exponential Audio plugs I recently caught on sale. They have something noble about them.

I've been enjoying the natural spaces in 2CAudio - Aether.

Also been evenly enjoying Overloud - Echoson & Pulsar - Echorec.
Can't stop multipurpose reaching for those lately.

All the years never found my reverb to go.
Often thought I got it (FF R and so on).
My search seem to be over.
The new Neoverb seems to be really (the natural sound) what I´ve been looking for.

Just checked it out and it is one hell of a verb. Thanks.

PS. Bummer. My computer is never on line so I guess I'd not be able to register it. Too bad.

Yeah,iLok sucks,I agree. You may connect your computer only during the authorization process, then disconnect it?It's machine authorization,so no problem.

The correct price is $119 instead of $149,I got it for 106 EUR.And you get the LX480 Essential for free.
It's a bit expensive but it's worth it IMHO,I tried Sonsig on different sound sources and the result is enjoyable for the least :).
