I think the phaser is quite good for a stock plug... requires some tweaking but I like the results..

LOSER Exciter & LOSER Stereofield > Some of the bread & butter that I use

Pseudostereo > A 2-in-1 stereoizer, FREE, and compares favourbly with commercial implementations. But 2ce the CPU (0.2 instead of 0.1%).

MIDI Tool II, MB_Filter > transpose, various midi ops.

    limiter > quick n effective

    volume_pan > for automation

    Mixer 8 X M > Downmix surround to stereo.

deesser > It's FREE like MySQL! No but srsly, it does actually work.

    custom-installed?===
    arpbangzero > effective arp
linker3 > parameter linking across tracks
    poly mono midi router
    S&M Multichannel meter
mono_synth > simple synth , a few more shapes than reasynth, noise option for noise sweeps

rarely use JSFX, but I like analyzers too much. There are a lot of great effect-processors.
I like that approach of "simple but effective", "high quality and almost no CPU/RAM use".

Thank you my friend and thanks for writing :mates:

Back on topic, I noticed there's some neat Stillwell/Schwa stuff, anybody using them?
Also their JS Major Tom, Bad Buss Mojo, Event Horizon, 1973 and etc, how that stuff stack up with their commercial offering? :mates:

Apparently made by the same people, and apparently sounds the same. But I don't use those sorta plugs.

    Try it yourself.

Guess one of these days shootout is inevitable, but would rather believe someone on his word

You are on Reaper too, mistake for telling that my friend, now I'm gonna hit you with questions all the time because of it

Yeah, there's so much effects in Reaper already, feel weird reaching for some 3rd party offerings at all *yes*

Actually, i have over 100 VSTs in R, and I use them regularly. For basic mixing, you might just scrape by with Reaplugs+JSFX (excl. instruments). For any intensive or specialist functions, you'll need VST. Notice how there aren't any reverbs done in JSFX? You can prolly do it, but it would use up at least 2-4x the CPU. And you need to cope with JSFX's weird way of managing variables & memory, among other things.

Agree, never said I don't have any 3rd party plugins or anybody shouldn't use them, but that in some cases I really don't see the point, there is fine line between need and luxury, at least for me, especially in similar cases like this when stock stuff covers enough ground, so 3rd party ones should really bring something to the table, but again, maybe that's just me.
