open the task manager before it happens, and sort processes by cpu percentage.

 

better type netstat -ano in powershell...there you see all connections...instead of taskmanager use process explorer

sound like mining but i wouldnt wonder if win10 goes crazy with warez or how they called it in win7 unwanted programs (not warez , normal stuff) or similar...but for me there were not unwanted...in 10 this stuff has trippled doubled

its shame i forgot name of realtime registry process explorer which shows changing in registry instant..freeware..

It just occurred to me that it might be one of the MS W8.1 updates that fucked it up. ? You know, one of those "not update but malware, because we want you to use W10" "critical" updates.
