what I don't like about large "bundles" like Klevgrand, Analog Obsession, Waves etc... is, although design of individual plugins is beautiful, as a pack they are lacking UI "cohesiveness"
- I understand devs try to balance differentiation of each plugin, but I'd rather see same size and aspect ratio when switching between various plugins within FX chain in a DAW,
maybe something like ValhallaDSP does, using mainly various colours but rather similar layout of the controls

 

Such a great design. That UI at the time was so different among the vst landscape when it first came out.

I love this UI so much that despite my eleven billion attempts (and failures) at getting a decent sound out of this synth, I still haven't uninstalled it :

 

Also, since no one mentioned, them, can I just say that Softube have perhaps the greatest designers in plugin industry? Their font choice, the hyperrealistic little imperfections on more realistic interfaces, the careful choice of colours - everything is great about them.

My two favorite nostalgic first love ;)

 

Most vst GUIs do not do it for me - many are beautiful, gorgeous looking, but the functionality just does not work in the box for me (talking about synths here). That said, my two loves at first sight were Amplitube 3/4 (not 5: for me it was a downgrade regarding the GUI) and Vital (for the superb workflow/functionality - the first synth I actually enjoyed making hundreds of my own presets and had loads of fun doing it). I just love working and just looking at the EMS Synthi A inspired gui I made for it.

PS: back in the day, the arturia original mini was another love at first sight.
