    Tis a thing of beauty:

    eaReckon CM-COMP 87
    [IMG]
I guess the CM-COMP 87 was a free Computer Music magazine exclusive but v1.1.5 was posted on Sister Site 10.5 years ago in 2013 and I was still able to find it today in 2023.:hifive:

    eaReckon SD-COMP 87

This one is part of the ANALOG87 bundle which was released later, I believe.

These are definitely going in my next mix. Anybody actually still using any of these beauties?? Do you use any other stylish, ancient plugins we should all know about?

I love these, but for some reason always had a bit of a mental block with anything provided for free by Computer Music.....probably coincided with the time magazines such as this began to get crazy expensive

However, I do remember using this plugin before and yeah, looks and sounds decent for a freebie!

That NANi UI is a tad too in your face for me, but do love the simplicity of a one knobber like Endless Smile

Here is the plugin I immediately fell in love with in terms of UI and sound, and still use it on everything....and is a freebie!

I guess it depends how big screen you have, obviously having 60 inch TV makes NANI too much in your face lolz
thing is, I admire plugins that try to look unique and funny (but not clunky or overly messy), kudos to devs who aren't afraid to do so

if I wanted another analog-looking plugin, I could probably buy the real thing and look at real thing,
I mean, competition in mimicking outdated gear (both visually and sonically) got super boring to be honest,

and modern functional plugins like Fabfilter, Sonible or TDR are boring in a way they don't try to annoy you in the actual audio work - which is a good thing though

I think the EAReverb 2 design was neat. I am still hoping for a version 2.2.0 installer for Mac/Win. Only demo installer available on eaReckon homepage.

for me it's this one, the OZONE CLARITY. Fall in love the moment Ozone 11 first out. I rarely EQing the midrange anymore since. Crazy how good it is. Individual track, DI guitar/bass, sub-group, busses, stereo bus, anything, just throw this one and get instant midrange clarity. The GUI too, can't be simpler than this. I've been using it excessively on this exact settings below (amount may vary). The effective range of my choice is 400Hz-6kHz because to my knowledge, it's the frequency range most speakers builder will always try to get as flat as possible first in the design. Having the mix's midrange more or less flat to Pink Noise reference seems to make the mix translate really really well to any system. It also helps me shaping the highs and lows correctly during mixing because the midrange is already crystal clear, unmasked, so I can make better decision. Mad tech. Low CPU too, 0.8% per instance on my system.

One of my favorite tools from Analog Obsessions, skins by Pablinimaxd findable in the sister sites
( I preserve only the switch and the knob of the original gui)
Really hope one day see Tunca upgrade or heal this old release who gives a real warms and clarity to song for my ears

I also adore the UI of this plugin, and it helped me get my head around a lot of synthesis and modular usage:

After spending years learning Ableton inside and out, I decided to demo this new thing and didn't launch Ableton once during the year that followed :
