Didn't Nembrini also do the Bassface for Plugin Alliance? So I guess it's a kind of better sounding update?
watched the video twice to make sure how shitty the amp sounds in the demo video, wtf were these people thinking making this video (or plugin). This sound more like Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier clean channel not a Blackface Bassman at all. Bassman has a hollow + twang sound character because it is designed as a Bass Amp then one day guitar player started using it and making it famous. not Faceman, it's really a FACEPALM Blackface Bassman sound :
@Stevie Dude I agree. I grew up playing on a early 70's silverface Bassman 100 (a band mates dad owned it) and I haven't found a single amp sim that sounds even close to it. The silverface and blackface sounds a bit different to each other, but they are still pretty close from what I've heard. I haven't tried the one in Neural DSP's Quad Cortex or the one in Axe FX 3, but the one in the Axe FX 2 (Bassguy or something) doesn't sound like one either.
