other plugs from FabFilter are really great but here the cheap BS multi-band concept make this plug a useless toy... sorry guys

search better on sister site and you will find much better tools.

 

Sorry mate but I have to completely disagree with your statement since audio quality wise this saturation plugin is absolutely in the top only couple of plugins that do saturation, oversampling, and LP filtering for low aliasing, properly.

Give it another try, and if you don't like the GUI just try to ignore it. Too many people fall for hardware look GUIs instead of listening. Placebo effect is very strong with audio plugins... sadly.

It's just mindblowing how absolutely gorgeous all Fabfilter plugins are looking. Maybe the best in the industry. I want a Fabfilter daw

i have to agree. i love saturn, but trash blows it away.

 

It's not the GUI, I prefer vector or clean GUI, I totally agree with you.
This trend of hardware like plugs is disgusting.
I use FabFilter bundle a lot but Saturn, the synth and the delay are no good imo, others are very good.
Waves, IKM, Arturia, Analog Obsession I don't even consider, especially Waves.

 

what do you use for saturation/distortion/etc? (yes they are all the same thing, but usually referred to differently depending on the goal).

 

Plugs are like women, you meet then you like or not.

sometimes you meet but don't know if you like her or not and decide to have a dinner together.
then you still don't really know if you like her or not, maybe don't like.
so you get back home and see a picture on bastardgram and feel you probably like her.
so you call and meet her again, have a talk and run away.

this is me and fabfilter saturn.

 

Who created the universe is an easier question to me.
