    Hello,

I use Studio One 4 and have two tracks in my project.
Track 1 is an instrumental song (WAV file) and track 2 is just a VSTi
used for playing melodies to the instrumental song.

I use FabFilter to lower some frequencies (e.g. cutting lows) of the VSTi, but I'm having this idea:
I could add another FabFilter instance for the instrumental song and allign the frequencies
of the VSTi FabFilter by using EQ match.
However, I would need exactly the opposite technique, because by using this way I would make
the VSTi track sound like the source (which I don't want).
It's like "Lower all the frequencies of the source track and use this for the VSTi track".

I hope I described it well.
    Is this somehow possible?

    Thanks for any help!

Not sure if it's allreay in the video that is linked but what you basically need to do is match the EQ then select everything and push the gain to the opposite site. That basically turns the EQ curve around.

    Create a matched curve

    Select all eq points

Pull down the gain knob enough & it will eventually invert the curve.
