I think it uses a little more CPU than version 3.
I was using the same preset with Linear Phase Mode enabled.

In version 3, a simple sound used 6% of CPU.
But the same sound and the same equalizer preset in version 4 used between 8 and 9% of CPU.

with zero latency with 24 slots, they are no different. They have the same CPU consumption.
All tests, the presets were the same and the synth sound was the same.

 

On my system (Ryzen 5600G):

10 instances of Pro Q 3: about 1%
10 instances of Pro Q 4: about 2%
1 instance if Soothe 2: about 2%

On any system that is not ancient I think CPU impact is not noticable but Q4 seems to be more hungry. Linear phase seems more hungry but still less then 1%/10 instances difference.

People on gearspace were reporting that soothe has much lower CPU impact, can't confirm.

 

I'm running Windows. I have no dedicated GPU, just a bog standard onboard graphics chip. With that being said: most plugins work perfectly fine on my machine, but Claro is one of those that feel very laggy. I doubt it's optimized.

 

With latest R2R release from sister site, clicking "Help > Help Topics" doesn't bring up the chtml file for easy reading. Is it just me?

All registry entries show the correct path for the files. (C:\\ Program Files \ Fabfilter \ (Plugin) \ (Plugin.chtml)

Clean uninstall & reinstall didn't work.
