I want to send a signal to react to another signal when using dynamic EQ, but it's not working or I'm missing a step.

Which version are you using, in the new version you can sidechain from the plugin by using the sidechain button, Q3 does support this feature

The sidechain function on ProQ3 just helps you to visualyse another track on the spectrum analyser.
It's not a sidechain like on compressors,where sidechain hit the compressor's input.

 

I dealt with the same thing. They fucked up. First version of ProQ3 doesn't have a sidechain dynamic EQ. I watched some youtube tutorial and I was like... wtf I don't have this button! You must download the latest version, there is a new button for it.

 

Why? Can't you just put it on the track where you need it?

 

Hello, I finally found the solution. I forgot to activate the sidechain input button at the left of the slider when dynamic EQ is activated

 

That´s a awesome feature - Dynamic eqing with external sidechain was never easier before!

You need it when you vwant to remove or attenuate a mask effect between two tracks for example.Or when you want to tune your kick for example.

I have first version of ProQ3 and SC for dynamic EQ doesn't work.
