As is probably well known to everyone who has logically explored the possibilities and limitations, and to anyone who has consulted the manual, when creating filters, while moving the mouse cursor along the 0dB center line, a small filter icon appears depending on the frequency range where the cursor is located. Bell, Low/High Shelf, Low/High Cut. If it is necessary to create a Low/High Cut filter (a low-pass or high-pass filter) and define the filter's slope, this can be done as a kind of multitasking, in a single operation that uses two mouse buttons. One is the left button used to create the filter and drag the node to the desired frequency, while the other is the middle button (perhaps better known as the "scroll wheel") used simultaneously, by scrolling, to set the filter's slope. "They invented q on scroll wheel." No need, of course, to dig around further in that "drag-and-drop in that toolbox" menu. Who knows what other secrets might be hidden there.
