Hey Everyone,

So I've had this issue for awhile with my FF plugins where I get really loud white noise on all my channels and an anti piracy warning after using the plugins for awhile, the crazy thing is though is that this happens even with my firewall blocking my daw from the internet on top of the internet being off, I've even tried using a vpn and it still happens, any ideas on how to fix this besides buying the plugins? (Im broke) thanks.

 

So what do you think is happening? Because even when Im offline a webpage attempts to open and the static happens

 

They're not calling home. It's more like the behavior of an expired demo. One or more of them may be unregistered. May be an issue with something you updated, you cloned your hard drive at some point, etc. Just re-register them.. correctly according to the instructions that should be included with them.

 

Have you tried uninstalling them all, including manually clearing the registry/ common files and user data of the fab filter sections, and then reinstall. You may benefit from running a dual boot system, and have you music o/s offline if you ae going to be skint for a while

 

They're all registered though.....

Did you have any luck with this? I'm having the same issue, but only with Pro-Q³. I've reinstalled it a bunch of times. I haven't tried reinstalling and registering it offline, though. Actually, it doesn't ask me to re-register, so there must be a license file somewhere that I could try getting rid of so I can register everything again. I'm on a Mac, so it's probably not going to be hard to find. I'll see what I can figure out and report back.

Not that anyone cares, but I'm just waiting for the paperwork for my 501c3 charity to go through so I can buy FabFilter Total Bundle. They, u-he, and UAD are amazing, and I can't wait to pay FabFilter. I just have to keep working on VO demos for this charity and taking classes while I wait for the paperwork. I love FabFilter and can't wait to support them. Just can't at the moment.

I was wondering what the internet has to do with a timebombed fabfilter

 

Maybe you forgot to patch one or more of the plugins. Some devs have dlls in program files that also need to be patched for the keygen to work. FF might be one

add fabfilter website to your windows hosts file / to block incoming/ outgoing connections.

 

While the logical solution is firewall (unless you want to disconnect from internet all times), I think that HIPS does a pretty good job as well. I use Comodo, it's bloated, but it works. No more apps opening undesired browser pages.
