I was wondering is it possible to import custom presets for ezdrummer 2 just like in superior drummer? Maybe this would open oppurtunities for developers to sell their presets. I was thinking of being able to download a preset like Memphis May Fire, Attila, Suicide Silence, Post-hardcore and metalcore stuff. That would be awesome eh?

Yeah they do work in EZD 2, even the 1.0 versions

Someone released an 1.5 update for the packs as well

I think he may be talking about the expansion updates. Most of those are version 1.5.

    Damn, I was getting excited.

I can't work out how to load my old presets on EZD2... I loaded a couple of Metal Machine presets, and they activated the Rock/Pop kit instead... weird.

I'll guess I'll just re-make them, no big deal.

Me too! Then I was like wait a min,let me check that post

    And weird indeed.
I wonder if they just get put in a certain directory,
Have you tried Libraries/Documents/Toontrack/EZDrummer/PresetsEZX,and putting em in the Metal Machine Folder?

Yeah, I did already. Maybe I need to make a metal machine subfolder, as levitate suggested. I'll give it a go today...

My old EZ1 presets are listed at the bottom of EZ2 presets.
I changed nothing at all, just upgraded without uninstall :dunno:

And about presets packs and such, remember TT still sell Superior
They will not shoot themselves in the foot.
Same applies with EZ mix : there will ALWAYS be separate products.
If you want more control...just buy Superior and load EZX inside it (that's what a lot of ppl do).
But you will not get official presets for this combination.

I prefer straight EZX. No time to loose thinking i'm Andy Sneap mixing drums...because i'm not.
I load Metal Machine, move a few faders and it is there

I know man. I do have superior. I use it to make the final run, I use EZD to make a rough beat to lay down guitars, bass, etc.

    Thanks mate!

    Same here,forgot to mention that.

I didn't mean to create a subfolder. In the directory I mentioned the subfolders are already there for each expansion(At least on mine) They are empty though.
It was just a guess,I'm not certain they go there,I just figured since it was titled PresetsEZX with subfolders for each expansion in it and it's in a folder with another folder named User MIDI,that that's where the User presets may go.I don't have any EZ1 user presets to test it.Still kinda curious.I saved a user preset with EZ2 and it saved it to C:\Users\"Your PC Name"\Documents\Toontrack\EZdrummer\UserPresets

That folder didn't even exist until I made a user preset.

Not sure if this is what you mean or not. But,
Yes you can make and save presets, and just messing with it,it is really awesome! You can mix and match any of those individual drums from expansions into a custom kit.Wow! And that's not even touching the mixer.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that I play my own drums with e-drums hooked to Superior Drummer. The kit has double kick pedal, snare, 4 toms, hats, two crashes and a ride. The only programming I do is change to more cymbals as I only have two crashes (I add chinas and other stuff). I try not to use too much quantize, but it comes handy at times for crazy double kicks and stuff like that.

I am wondering, does anyone else use this approach? I ask because I just did a song today and I made the drums entirely with my mouse and adjusting midi manually. It sounds ok, but I feel it lacks that "human" factor. I can't play drums right now as I am still recovering from a hip operation :(
