ezbass user midi files not showing up

    Anyone else having this problem?
    I put the midi files in the user midi folder, but when I open ezbass and go to grooves the folder is there, but it shows up as empty even though there are many files in it.
    How can I fix this?

    Yes - and this is what I found

    Step [1]
    • Settings / Advanced
    • Restore MIDI Database
    This doesn't solve it - but it's an essential first step.

    Now EZbass identifies files in your User MIDI collection but it regards them as 'Unsynced' (whatever that means?)
    and so they're still not visible yet.

    Step [2]
    • Look at the User MIDI menu (see a small red dot next to the drop down menu on the right)
    • The red dot indicates 'Unsynced files found'
    • The drop down menu reports 'Unsynced files found' and offers an option to 'Sync File Changes'
    • After selecting 'Sync File Changes' your User MIDI files should appear OK.
    p.s. I don't really understand what this syncing does.
    I just found it was a necessary step to make your User MIDI files visible.
    But I did a few checks and as far as I can tell it does not make any modifications to your MIDI files.
    Maybe analysing tempo in your file, etc; (just my ignorant guessing)
