    EZmix 2

Following the success of Toontrack’s EZmix, the new and completely overhauled EZmix 2 continues to build on the same fundamental idea: having pro-designed effect chains for instruments and channels found in every recording session combined in one powerful mixing tool. With the vast collection of ready-made presets, mixing music is not only easy and incredibly fast – you end up with results second to none.

This one is definitely better structured than the previous release!
Right now testing the DEMO version......

You surely can't learn to mix by using such a plug-in. *no*

But on the other hand: not everyone is interested in learning to mix, so for them it might be nice.

Of course ! But can it be an useful tool to make a good mix ? (Not with EZMIX only of course) That is the question x) Or is it just a gadget for beginners ? Or a gadget for a pre-mix only ?

okay, I use it like this......

Just got done with a rec session and want to give the artist a "walking mix" With this I can whoop something in to shape, thats very listenable, in an hour or less.....

    ....as a tool.

Its the same as the waves artist series, just different ;)

I think that is exactly the best way to use such plug-ins.

Like the Waves Signature Series, as you said.
I kinda like the Maserati plug-ins, at least the GRP (group processor) can give some great results, I stopped using it though, because I don't like if don't know what is happening exactly. It is very CPU-hungry as well.

same but different. It is easier on the cpu than the CLA stuff I usually like to use. I could see running alot of instances on a laptop.

The guitar and cab sims are okay, but I know I can get better sounding guitars with any of the good amp sims.

Its good for some noob who has no real idea how a signal chain really works, and just likes to pick presets.

or someone on a system with limited resources. I would like to think that if you were in a position where you had a tight deadline, you would have enough knowledge to mix it decently with better quality plugins.
