Hi everyone,

I downloaded EZ Drummer 3 from Audio Z. I downloaded the Toontrack EZDrummer v3.1.1 macOS update-V.R. I can get see the program interface but I can't figure out how to load the drum kits or the midi grooves. When I downloaded the program I had these folders below. Then when I installed the program I got the error message below. Do I need to place certain folders with certain files in others? I'm running a MacBook Pro 2019. Not sure if that matters. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

 

Ah, yes. Toontrack installation can get really hairy. On macOS, the default path for Toontrack EZdrummer sound libraries is /Application Support/EZdrummer
Inside that folder you should see at least "EZX3_EZdrummer3_BrightRoom"; "EZX3_EZdrummer3_MainRoom"; "EZX3_EZdrummer3_TightRoom"; and "Midi" <--- that Midi folder is where the default and ALL other midi packs will install to for EZdrummer AND Superior Drummer (if you install it later). The Midi folder naming is delicate, so best to use installers to install the Midi packs rather than doing it manually at first.

Confusingly, there will be another folder in /Application Support/Toontrack/EZdrummer3 and there will be a Percussion library in there. You can ignore that one, it's there separately (other Toontrack products like Superior Drummer, EZbass, EZkeys 2 etc will also appear in this /Application Support/Toontrack folder).

ALSO, there's another folder in the user library: ~/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/EZdrummer 3 <-- that one is just app related, so you won't need to touch it.
