Awhile back someone posted an audio file of a song by a popular artist, time stretched out to 800 times, or 800% (can't remember which), and it sounded fantastic. I think it was an Imogene Heap song. Anyway, the op mentioned the name of the vst used, but as usual I forgot to write it down. Do any of you remember the post or what app was used? If not what is your recommendation for extreme time stretching an audio file, while retaining the quality and pitch of the original file. Thank you.

If I remember the piece of software you seek it's called paulstretch...it's not a vst but a separate program unless you are an audacity user (in this case you have it built in with less features). It can stretch your audio up to a billion years (no joke). Check the website and have fun ;)

Paulstretch (Paul's Extreme Stretcher) is what you want. It adds a reverb though, but the granular stretch is amazing.
