as title says. would love to use the actual midi files with other plugins, and wondering if it's possible to get these somehow, as i noticed that the download is an actual dmg file.

 

Toontrack MIDI files are raw, they aren't encrypted, "bundled" in program specific banks etc (as XLN audio's MIDI files are).

I think .dmg file is just an image of ISO for Mac OS. Or an installer. Try to mount it or extract it. Or find them somewhere else. I saw all Toontrack MIDI libraries on the Ru(ssian) tracker.

 

those files are very big. the midi is like 30 meg.

 

But if you want to use it with other plugins, just drag the midi to the daw and try it in another plugin. I do that.

 

On macOS you can open DMG files directly, on Windows and Linux-based systems extract them with 7-Zip or similar archivers.

yes this would make the most sense lol but i don't have EZ keys or EZ drummer installed, that's why i hoped there was an option to "extract" these from the addon packs, available separately

 

i downloaded one addon only. tried "show package contents" but did not see raw midi files, and this is as far as my computer knowledge for this stuff goes :D
