When I start exporting tracks in S1, after a minute or so the windows freezes. It's still working, and I can refresh it by dragging the window, but I was wondering whether that's normal behavior or not. I'm using S1 3.5

 

Got the same issue occasionally. And that's the problem. Sometimes it's the same project/song acting differently each export/bounce/transform...no idea what causes it and since it's just visual I don't care anymore.

Edit: should add that it's just the window that freezes, pc works fine in the background if I want to do something while waiting.

No this is not normal, Nothing should freeze your pc! Check your hard drive for errors,capacity etc! Also keep your drivers up to date especially audio drivers.You should provide your pc spec for more info and how many tracks you are exporting?
