Today, I create a little experiment, so watch:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQDg-GaOeUk&feature=youtu.be

it's basicaly morphing vocal into synth with Live simpler.

Ofcourse, it's not what I expect and what's I imagine but here is the nearest result.

For some reason Ableton Sampler has not automation of sample start, end, loop etc... but simpler has. So, that's the reason of using Simpler over Sampler.

Long time ago I found some examples of similar morphings on Kyma page (per example morphing female voice into cat etc...) so this is one of reason's for doing this.

    Main problem:

When you automate Simpler params it's active for new note's coming through the midi, if note played when you change something that note is unchanged.

Why don't you show me ? Make video.
I don't think you can do with any vocoder. Watch, vocal must start with first words and at the end it must behave as any synth. That's the idea.
Ofcourse, I can make this way:
    - one vocal track
    - one track with sampler (setup from small vocal chunk) as synth
    - and then blend together (mixed)
But, is not idea. Main idea is to blend singing into synth in one midi track.
    Watch this:

I must try with Virsyn Cube, maybe this vst is the answer.
    ------
But it's now, it takes samples and resynthesized it into sine waves... so we can't have original sample in one slot.
    ------
Hm... Alchemy do the trick at the end with Morph XY function...

Yeah - some kind of 'spectral morph' could work.

    Second attempt

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy4FldCC0qI&feature=youtu.be

    1) load vocal sample into slot A as "Add+Spec" + edit wave loop type to sustained and set loop points (3 and 4)
    2) load basic VA saw osc and set it to taste
    3) set morph control to "morph xy" and play around with knob X left and right (full left will be slot A, full left slot B)
    4) now add automation into DAW and that's all
    5) after all tweaking I realize best sound is with Alchemy seq on slot B

cool - I like running my voice through a live audio to midi like Midiguitar with mike as line in, then run through a synth or even sampler like kontakt

I haven't tried this before but I think you'd get remarkable results from iZotopes Iris since your synth sound would be based on the vocal's harmonics.
