Being new to S1, I'm enjoying the ease of use in the arranger view. It's definitely a cool feature. Most of the time, it's perfect for what I'm trying to do. Sometimes, though, I wish there was a way to exclude certain tracks from being moved. For instance, if you have a finished vocal track and are building new arrangements around it, it would be cool if you could right click on the vocal track and select something like "exclude track from arranger". This way if you drag instrument parts around, it won't affect the finished vocal take's track. Or drums...or whatever... I realize there is always the tried and true copy and paste method and sure thats easy enough. But with the addition of the ease of the arranger track, I just think its probably an easy thing for them to patch up moving forward. Right click on any track u dont want moved, and select "exclude from arrange"... or maybe "lock track in place"... just my two cents. I'm enjoying very much using S1 now and have almost completely moved over from Sonar...something I thought I'd never do... Go Presonus!

 

I get your point, i can agree. In Logic is called "Lock". Basicly when the option is actived on the track any clip within the track can't be moved. I think it's one of the simple things that every daw should have. I think also that it's already in the Future Request thread. Check it out.

Other cool stuff would be Pre-fader metering, add every automation you want inside the midi view, improve the tracklist, show/hide tracks when only used on the sketchpads, Global FX bypass, track snapshot, Store track (audio,midi,automations and channel), real macros and so on.

Studio One has a real big room when it comes to improvements, PreSonus developer should take the challenge...

You're right! It's definitely in the future requests under Lock Audio/Tracks..Thanks. Hopefully soon. Then we could use the Arranger on any project and not just loop based projects. I also highly agree with the need for Global FX bypass and hiding tracks in main arrange when only in sketchpad... also Mixer Undo...glad people are already on it! Definitely enjoying S1 so far!
