I'd like to buy EWQL Ra and use it on K5 craked, will I have a problem to activate it ??
Does it work only with official K5 ?

EWQL Ra does not work with Kontakt, It uses EW Play Engine

 

It depends on what you mean by "use it in K5"
1). Convert samples? Yes and no.
2). Import it as a Kontakt library out of the box?

If your question is more relevant to #2, then yes, you will indeed be in for a nice little surprise (that was sarcasm). EWQL uses the play engine, which is East west's own sampler, and the sample files are in their own format, thus you would have to convert the samples, and how that's can be done is a tad too far out of my knowledge for me to help you there.
So for #1 - maybe or maybe not possible. For #2 - you're in for some substantial disappointment.
Either way, you'd may as well chop off one of your legs, IMHO. I have Ra, and personally I don't think it's any better than any other modern ethnic VI out there.

Actually yes it works in Kontakt. I use it in K5, but every time I open a session (PT11) I have to remove it and reload it in the kontakt library, then reload every Ra instrument, which is pretty restrictive...

 

You must have the old version of RA which is not for sale anymore... You can't load Play instruments in Kontakt and you can't convert them

 

thanks claytonr, yes I mean 2, but my actual RA version works in K5, don't need EW PLAY.. I think I found a craked converted version...
So the conclusion is if I buy Ra it won't work on K5..?

Yes, it will work only if you use the converted versions. But the play versions are far better, and will not work. The Kontakt version's you are talking about are upwards of 10 years old. It's been discontinued for over a decade now. The dates on them are like 2003 and 2002, which is older than this forum (2004). There wasn't nearly as much quality software instruments around back then then there is now. So the sounds are probably crap compared to something like Motu's ethno instrument or the play version of EW.
