i use fl studio , so basically it would go something like .

drumsynth > route to track> insert comb > insert bit crusher > render as wav > load obnoxious drum loop with way too much going on into fl slicer > route to track > insert limiter> fiddle with rest of song > make copies of slicer pattern> set at different pitches and slice points.
my own habit is usually carving out track space manually in the piano roll with as little eq or effects as possible aside from distortion or delays , so i tend to create things at 20-40 bpm.

    edit..

so anyway back to dnb and not my self promotion.

Anyone mentioned Bad Company - Book Of The Bad yet?
D'n'B is somewhat tricky to me - somewhere throughout im becoming overwhelmed by
this wanky, rushed, meaningless and overstylized attitude-feeling, - this is where Hardtechno for me
is at its heart and does it so good'n'enjoyable - dnb feels lacking in comparison. but when it gets me, it gets me hard.
Theres that special thing about the typical "offbeat-roll" that keeps me going and coming back ever so often.
Calyx, Chris SU, Concord Dawn, Camoo & Krooked, Radicall, Raiden come to mind. And yeah calibre pretty much.

    Long story short:
Book Of The Bad doesnt apply to what i wrote before, its friggin so damn good everyf****** time i put that record on.
Just skip Track01 to get to "Dogs On The Moon" even faster. Very fast. gotta love that bass riff

Thanks but you don't explain WHY you use a comb filter? Is it just because you like how it sounds or any other reason(technically,...you name it)?
