Unleash Chaos
Introducing Pendulate, chaotic monosynth by Newfangled Audio. Pendulate uses a brand new oscillator design to produce sounds different from any other synth. It features a chaotic oscillator based on a double pendulum. What initially looks random actually contains underlying patterns of interconnectedness, constant feedback loops, repetition, self-similarity, fractals, and self-organization. When designing the Pendulate oscillator we took great care to bring out these underlying patterns. The result is an oscillator that can smoothly fade from a sine wave to total chaos, with an expanse of territory to explore in between.

Pendulate’s chaotic oscillator is matched with a wavefolder and low pass gate, inspired by the ideas of Don Buchla. These three modules combine to make inconceivable sounds you've never heard and will want to hear again.

Whenever a site asks me to sign up to a mailing list to download free software, I just use one of those temporary e-mail sites. Guerrilla Mail, 10 Minute Mail, etc. Everything is automated anyway, it's not like there's someone making sure that their e-mails are going to real people.

 

Wait? Wasn't this free previously? At least I've got it a while back.

If it's a rerelease is there any difference from the original?

 

@phumb-reh I also got it previously, but it was version 1.1.0. This is an updated version.

Fun synth. Reminds me of Madrona Labs Aalto. Mono version is just enough to make you drool for Generator. ;) It's very useful anyway. I love monophonic synths. I grew up with them. Polyphonic sounds sound muddier in the mix, so I generally avoid them anyway.

Oh yeah, Pendulate is effin' fantastic. Map some controllers to the oscillators and you get ever evolving shapes. Great for leads and pads.

Do want Generator though eventually, but I'm still lost with this one
