I think the state department should let it happen.

Until companies stop keeping money offshore in order to avoid paying taxes because they define themselves as multinational companies they can ask the government of Multinational to stick up for them..

its such an infantile Disneyland-view of the world

first of all its going to be a HUGE saving on licenses, that money could be used for so many other important social programs than giving it away to a u.s corporation. there are many other countries that have done just that, and they dont have "putin" as president.

then we have this globally warmongering aggressive country apparently for ever in a state of psychopathy called "the u.s" promising future aggression left and right 24/7, on every level . with over a thousand (!) military bases and installations around the planet and over quarter of million mercenaries spread around the globe aiding the pillage of third world countries and toppling of their governments.

First of all, how the hell would the State Dept. not let it happen and why even should they? Second, the ridiculous "zero sum game" paradigm that sees everything as either black or white, up or down or as totally good or bad that has again seeped into the world consciousness is an insidious poison that is the real killer. It is an impossibility that has in the past and will in the future again cause much pain, suffering and death. Sums and differences are realities and are integral parts of what we see, hear, taste and feel as beauty in this world. When everything cancels out to zero we are left with misery and dispair, a grey world absent of color, monotone in sound and a horror to behold. Fuck that.

 

I'm wether russian nor american, and as such can honestly say that I am so tired of those Putin defenders. There are enough paid defenders on the web ( Trolls from Olgino ) already. Something does not get right just because it is said often enough.
Microsoft is not USA, just as Lukoil is not Russia (it was hard to find a russian top company whose shares were not to 50.1% in the hands of the russian government)
Many other countries have done that? Yes, China just started to copy Windows XP ( NeoKylin ) and of course Northkorea with its MacOS copy ( RedStar OS ). Not sure if Russia really wants to be compared to them?
I won't comment on sentences that contain "state of psychopathy", as those can't be taken seriously. Although Russia can keep up in warmongering with the USA.

Note, this is not against Russia nor Putin. It also isn't pro USA. It is against misinformations. So I made sure that everything I said is a fact (incl. the share note)

isn't this OS (maybe others too) known for having backdoor acces by US government agencies.

Good for Russians. And that doesn't mean one won't be able to use Windows for making music or even Internet if you're crazy enough. It just means that government and Russian companies will not use or support the usage of Windows. They will save loads of money on licenses for Windows and Office, make sure their computers are not being spied on, and be future proof if something happens to Microsoft, which is possible in capitalism. Linux, BSD, and all other UNIX OSes will be with us forever.
