Depends what format it is? If it says sample not supported it could be just that.

However it seems strange that Sonokinetic would bring a library out in unsupported file format however old?

It could also depend on whether u using Kontakt Player e.t.c

Which exact library, what is the file format of the library & what exact version of Kontakt, running system etc would help possibly in locating the problem?

All KONTAKT Libraies are based on WAV files or AIFF files.
    Thats it. No other.
You can go check your Registry to see if something is wrong or just try to reload it....
I dont think that is a Format file issue, because all DAWs support WAV and AIFF formats. :dunno:

Sounds like u don't have the full release but that would not explain why it says file format not supported because wav file most definitely supported *yes*

Therefore could maybe something like a batch compression gone wrong or has corrupted a file or indeed nki. Try & see if it happens with all nki's or just some?

If u were missing files it would normally ask u to locate the missing files rather than say file format not supported.

Could be your import settings on Kontakt have been changed.

Both those libraries work fine, tried them myself in the past.

Would recommend u check the .sfv file if there is one to see if u have the complete download & outside that look at re-downloading the libraries & checking the settings on kontakt but those libraries do work. *yes*

well i worked it out, now this is a weird one...
i spent hours trying many things, and on the of chance i went into properties,...there... to my curiosity was something i have never seen before...A button saying "unblock"???!! so id did and then they all worked...it states as these files are from another computer there may have been a block put on the files....now that i have pulled out all my hair i can play :p

    WTF!?

Right-click and unblock the .zip/.rar in Properties before you extract it.

If you've already extracted you can use a command in Powershell
dir -Path "enter directory path" -Recurse | Unblock-File
This will scan whatever directory is located between the quotes and unblock all files inside.

Let me guess... Windows 10? Bravo, you've just found out about yet another problem that "doesn't exist" with Windows 10.

@Amir if you have the downloaded ISO or DVD, try copying the files over manually to your library.
Also try appending the filename and resaving using a WAV editor with the original filename.
Easiest potential fix would be to download the library again but from a different source.
It would help to know what the file is and what library..?

There's an update to the 1.4 library. I would suggest updating the entire library.
If you can't/wont do that, use the File menu to 'Collect samples/Batch compress' and select 'Uncompressed WAV/AIF'
Try re-saving the WAV file like stated above. Then use Batch compress again but to 'Lossless compressed NCW' then 'Batch re-save'

I think the update would be the best solution.
