hi guys,

i tried to erase:
COMODO Internet Security CEF.evtx and Kaspersky Event Log.evtx

in w10 the pathway is ...windows/system32/wimevt/logs

i tried to eliminate those 2 bastards with ultrasearch, autodeletions, eraser and file shredder.

i wonder if any computer wizard could give me a hand.

I think you can´t erase if the programs in use

 

Why do you want to delete it? windows used these files to diagnose problems !! anyway if you want to delete it with you OWN RISK you could use a third party app called CCleaner there is an option to delete log event files.

You do not want to touch anything in system32 unless:
- you know what you're doing
- its malware/3rd party garbage

You should uninstall COMODO and Kaspersky if you want to remove those files.

 

If those are remnants and you want to delete have you tried right clicking and "delete as admin"? I remember finicky files like that

comodo and kaspersky were uninstalled a few months ago!
have to goto bed. tomorrow will check this thread again after work. in the meantime i thank you all for your help!

 

well, i think the key is to learn how to use the event viewer...

This. Delete them in event viewer.

Worst case you can search for them in the registry and remove the event viewer link there before deleting the files.

But try via event viewer first.
