If you can categorize it by emulation, type, use, and all kinds. maybe it would be great ...

That's a BIG list of EQs! If I had all of these I'd spend all of my time choosing which one to use and definitely wouldn't be able to remember each one's "unique features". :dunno:

Depending on your purpose, but at the most, you probably only need a handful of "well-chosen" EQ plugins in your toolkit.

I do Mastering so on my plugin EQ I like transparency, as in something that just does its job cleanly and precisely, no thrills. For this my go-to is Softubes Weiss EQ1, it's a digital EQ but slightly different to a purpose coded plugin in that the code was ported from an existing digital hardware unit. Super clean, super functional, no funny business and just what I want for my "in the box" Mastering EQ.

I'd def say that FabFilter ProQ3 is a close second and has a GUI that hasn't been matched yet.

I didn’t see these two on the list .
I use the bax eq and amek 200 eq in my mastering chain . Both great plugins
I’ve recently started to use my pultec eq clones (klark teknik eqp kt ) as well they work great for cleaning up muddy low end on a mix .

if you use a pultec to clean up low end you must be clipping it, cause eq wise the shelf is too broad , i never clip my vintage matched pair of eqp1s3 but maybe thats just me.

To be honest I think there are so many variables in a mix im not sure if it makes sense to get so hung up about all these EQ's.
Obviously anyone has their favorite EQ but I would not say that one would need more then a few EQ's to get a professional mix.

I just put all those eqs on my master in serial, doesn't get more pro sounding than that!

side note, if you search the nebula bible v2 there is a 2018 list of all the nebula names to hardware for referencing

You're right. On the master channel I'm just low-passing at 19K and maybe a wide bell to boost/cut low mids and/or high mids (think 1 dB). Rarely I low cut the mix at 20 Hz and pretty much that's all the EQ at mastering stage. I'm using the Ozone 9 eq but pro-q would work just as fine.

I definitely don't get the "mastering eq" hype in the box. For hardware I can understand - the manufacturers had to do great efforts just to have a decent noise floor and to respect as precise as possible the Q and actual EQ gain. They were basically chasing the sound of the Pro-Q :))

it's a remake of old Algorithmix PEQ Red. I think the MAAT's remake of these EQs is good and I always use the Orange but I don't think MAAT designing a new GUI and making a 64bit version of it is considered genius or atleast the bar shouldn't be set that low.

I tried the Kirchhoff EQ the last days . It's crazy how good this thing sounds. Many of us are using the Pro-Q3 I guess, I definitely recommend to compare those two. The Kirchhoff looks like a direct rip off, yes, but the sound is really different. I tried the same settings on high pass for example on many different sources. In all cases so far, Kirchhoff reacted better, somehow "tighter", in direct comparison the Pro-Q3 sounds a bit washy. Just my two cents, I guess I jumped straight onto the hype train.

    Side-note
For a passive EQ, the Pulsar Massive is actually good. It pretty much does the identical thing the UAD Manley EQ copy does.
