Next up is a few tracks by The Orb. We'll start off with a classic:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRjDSGqgFjI

The next one is off of Orbus Terrarum. I really love this CD and its constantly evolving soundscapes. Perfect thing to throw on and meditate for a while.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYVib0rpdXg

This is already 2001 but I figured it's a good place for it:

Might as well get high and enjoy the next number. It always seems to happen anyway when this song is playing. The track (actually two because of the short intro song Pot Sounds) is off of Satyricon, one of my favorite Meat Beat Manifesto albums:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fxPmtu5Y2E

Another great track off of the aforementioned album:

can't tell you how much I love this remix. i've been enjoying it for years!!!
for some reason, it became the first track i test-play on every new acoustic i buy :)

and of course, something i came up to recently, one of the best tracks that i heard for a very long time.
those who follow me, listened it already, but i cannot miss the opportunity to share it here :)
John Beltran - Clouds Pull [Amazing Things #02] "2013

    - funny thing - this track reminds me Groove Armada - Paris [Soundboy Rock #06] "2007:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIccUhSIf9o

which in its turn reminds me Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle (Original) [la Ritournelle #02] "2005

and I absolutely love all of them :beg:

all videos from their collaborations are like this.

Richard D. James was one of my favorite artists growing up and I've followed all his monikers through the years from AFX, Aphex Twin, Blue Calx to Caustic Window, Polygon Window, The Tuss, etc. His tracks that are tinged with ambient textures are absolutely incredible and beautiful beyond description. He really is a master craftsman and a musical legend. Those Orbital songs are from In Sides which is a very good album. Love Boards of Canada, Groove Armada, The Necks too. Brilliant bands. Very nice picks.

when it comes to electronic music... really, don't even get me started  i could fill at least 50 pages of monologue on this subject :)))))

Hive. an amazing, brilliant DJ/Producer which is sooo underrated and unknown to many people:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQiIFghLjMU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO45LMlcq88 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgX7PdnvE5Q

I have no idea why i still haven't shared his albums at Audioz :dunno:

and of course, since i'm sharing Hive, i now must include Propellerheads... another genius band with just one album :(

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd8WjeK8riE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVgBVcsAK1o

both selections from Hive and Propellerheads was released in 1998 and 1997. it was truly great times for real electronic music.

I'm amazed by how actually "analog" and natural they make it sound... absolutely brilliant... legendary!

Before we get underway I'd like to thank everyone that made Conversations About Good Music Part 1 such a success. We really made a collection of some amazing music and some even included amazing videos too. Not only that but there were interesting conversations about art, film, life, music, you name it. Shout-out to Feridan, Frito Zanzibar, Rolma and SAiNT. It's been great getting to know you guys and hear you talk about what interests you. You rock. :headbang:

    Everyone
If you like what you hear don't be an ingrate, say thanks. It took everyone a lot of time and effort to bring you some really amazing music so let's be mindful of that. I personally take a lot of time to search through tons of the same videos for a song to bring you a high quality copy or a cool video and I'm sure Feridan, Frito, Rolma and SAiNT do the same. Never mind the time it takes to arrange tracks that go together and also provide lyrics that shouldn't be missed. Anyway I'd also like to extend an invitation to any members that would like to join us with any of their favorite selections.

It's another late night here in the underbelly. I've got my coffee, I've got my cigarettes and I've got some songs rattling around in my head. So fellow Audiosexers let me lead you on a little aural excursion. Let's get catalyzing.

This seems line a nice way to kick things off. I'm sure you'll all agree:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dstx5qKHGnI

This next number is the opener off of his first LP as Aphex Twin. Coincidentally the album made great use of tape saturation:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5fmQSnuHyA

Now that I've got your attention I think it's time to weird you out with this next video:

This next track goes best with a little herbal supplement so smoke 'em if you got 'em while I lead you on a little aural excursion into pure bliss:

Here I go round again again again...
Think that I'll never come down again again again...

And now let's pay tribute to another legendary band with a beautiful little track. Their work is very diverse and certainly not all of it is this mellow:

Okay now it's time to pick things up a bit with my next few selections from the Trance vault. We've got something for everyone, no matter what genres you listen to...but hopefully we can expand your horizons. *yes*

Here's a legendary track that you all should hopefully know and a cool video to go with it:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyBi-omSdGY

I've really got to give our next artist credit because this song has very unconventional lyrics for trance and I wholly support the message.

    Sentimental creeps and cops
    Congressmen and debutantes
Wander up and down the avenue
    They don't know the world's a bore
    Everything's been done before
And I'm so tired, that change is overdue

And it's blah, blah, blah on the radio
blah, blah, blah on remote control
blah, blah, blah on the TV too
blah, blah, blah means nothing new
blah, blah, blah for me and blah for you
    ... blah, blah, blah

I tried sex, but sex is dumb
Rub some bits and wait to come
Staring at the ceiling is a drag

And itis blah, blah, blah on the radio
blah, blah, blah on remote control
blah, blah, blah on the TV too
blah, blah, blah means nothing new
blah, blah, blah for me and blah for you
    ... blah, blah, blah

    I tried God, but God's a fake
    Whitewash fathers on the make
And I don't need a pedophile with pew

And it's blah, blah, blah on the radio
blah, blah, blah on remote control
blah, blah, blah on the TV too
blah, blah, blah means nothing new
blah, blah, blah for me and blah for you
    ... blah, blah, blah

Let's keep that energy going with another great classic:

Now let's wind down a little with some tracks I know you'll love.

The next track is from one of my favorite bands. When people say they haven't heard of them I want to punch them in the face. True story. *yes*
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGSz6RVmra0

A very talented and diverse artist that hopefully people recognize. This song is from his debut album. Coincidentally he used to collaborate with Massive Attack:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3R_3h6zQEs

Dwayne Goettel and cEvin Key of Skinny Puppy formed a side-project called Download in 1994. Great tracks flowed:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gExKd8JQ3g

Well that's our show for the night. Hope you've all enjoyed the tunes. If you did be a human being and say thanks or at the very least take a millisecond to press the freaking button under any tracks that resonated with you. It's been a pleasure serving as your tour guide this evening, this is Catalyst signing off.

That was just a live concert in the wake of his Test Pattern installation at the Centre Georges Pompidou Dec. 2010, I think

Here's another one of his installations, Spectra, commissioned for La Nuit Blanche 2008. Beautiful. Shades of Eno?
